Kinda related....Automata. I used to collect some old clockwork French pieces, but related to Pinball, I met Paul Spooner in Covent Gardens, England in 1985, at his exhibit store. We had a spirited conversation, and I related Gottlieb Pinballs, and their animation. He loved pinball, and in playing as a youth, he stated,
"I never thought of Pinball as an early influence on my going into this career!"
Hes regarded as one of this generations best.
Today, with 3D printing of Gears in Place, Im a bit surprised we dont see more in general,
as well as in a game...
