With Covid going into extra innings, anyone find their sleep pattern F.U.B.A.R?
    Any tips?

While I don’t have a clever euphemism for jackin’ the beanstalk, I’ve had bad insomnia for most of my life and have tried almost everything over the years. Outside of Ambien the best thing I’ve found is ....weed.

    How’s the mornings after?

    Wow...
    No shit.
Haven’t smoked since the Reagan administration.
I gotta give it a shot.

And the shit is a lot better now than it was then. Make sure it’s an indica. Nighty night.

If I really, really spend some time stretching & using the roller, I sleep like the dead.

    I had sleep apnea surgery.
    Truly barbaric stuff.
They took out my tonsils & adenoids, arched my throat, clipped off the uvula and re-broke my nose setting it so I could breathe out of both sides again.
It’s now physically impossible for me to snore.

Then I go out and buy Tart Cherry Juice for the first time in my life. If it actually works for inflammation .

So I bought a sleep tracker device a couple of weeks ago. It slips under your mattress and records everything your body does while asleep and issues a report the next morning. It then becomes your coach
and notifications start popping up on your phone:
“time to limit your phone usage”
    “time to get into bed”
“great job getting to bed early last night”
    “Please don’t repurchase a 4th Centaur”
“do you really need another Jägermeister”

Here’s last night’s report base on a non stressful day with no booze & no eating or snacking three hours before sleep.

    Quoted from DanQverymuch:

Followup: Long story short, it worked! I wasn't too thrilled with how comfortable it was, I was sure my arm would fall asleep but it didn't, and after a week that pain in my shoulder joints after 20 minutes laying on either side was no longer happening.
Still using the body pillow, but the wedge part is stored away in case the pain ever recurs. (And with Rick and Morty's magnet button having rewired my brain to not nudge excessively or tilt, it may never do so!)

I actually bought the same and would never go back to the old pillow
