    Quoted from benheck:

Original plan: Design my game for 6-8 months, then spend a year on code for its release summer of 2018. (same time I finish my show, not a coincidence)
But then the license stalled last summer and I switched over to helping on Alice Cooper (rules, storyboards, dialog) Came a point where the completion of my game was so far out I just kind of gave up. This is probably how Dennis feels regarding Elvira 3.
Was then going to develop Bible Adventures as my own thing, see where it went... until the deeproot announcement.
Basically, pinball has nothing left for me.

Did you get the same impression from the Deep Root announcement that I did? "We're going to wreck everyone's shit and take everything we can get because we can afford to and don't give a shit"?

    Quoted from kvan99:

Ben, get together with a good designer and make a freaking awesome pinball machine! Btw, not saying your designs are bad, but too much work will burn you out. Your talent in electronics and programming is a f-ing big deal brother, reach out to Nordman or someone like him and put together a game changer pin.

I certainly wouldn't mind a chance to work with Ben - there's a great deal of specialist knowledge and practical skills that few heads in the industry hold.

Does the PinHeck system allow for more than 64 lamps, or is it based on more traditional low-level lamp/switch matrix hardware? I counted 65 inserts on the whitewood mockup, so I'm guessing at least one of those won't be.

I find it's actually bloody hard keeping an insert count down to 64 these days on a modern full-feature design, especially if you're trying to experiment with new gameplay ideas and don't really want the screen to have to make up for any shortfall. Fortunately I haven't had to set that limit for myself yet.
