I have been playing BDK for ten years. I like it! Especially since I put the movies's musics. I like the layout, the crane who is to me the best toy in pinball. The three multiballs are very good so. The multipliers is a good thing to the strategy. My level is average. I only passed the final once. I have in my wishlist the Bat 66. But I wouldn't want to be disappointed. Then I would like to know your opinion?

Thank's to your answer. The same layout, it's good! A game with more strategy! HUMMM...I like it! I haven't played this game, but I have seen videos. It' seem's to me a deep rules as I like them. You say:"update BDK to BM66 makes sense" then I will look this game.

Quoted from Pinstein:

I owned a bdk and really enjoyed it. I sold it to fund a NIB bm66 when they were announced. After having bm66 for a few months I regretted the switch.

have you played with Lyman's new code?

Quoted from pinmister:

To me it comes down to the theme and how you can relate to the theme. I guess I am younger because I did not grow up watching BM66(I was a decade late). I really have zero interest in BM66 because of the theme and when I did play one I did not care for the rotisserie. If you are older than 45-BM66 if you are younger than 45-BDK? It really does help when you can connect with a theme, to me Batman Dark Knight is in my top 5 favorite movies(that goes a long way with connection). Both games are fun and the crane is the best toy in all of pinball imo(shaker motor is a must).

I'm 52. And like you, I haven't seen BM66 TV. At first, I prefer BDK to Christopher Nolan (a very good Batman). However, because I appreciate this layout. I am informed about this tv series and I like his quirky humor, the colors and music of the 60s. With this approach, the theme no longer becomes an obstacle for me.

Now, I have played both a lot. these games are very different.
The layout are good on both. I like the two ramps on BM66, and I like the lock on BDK and the rocking ramp.
BDK have two multipliers. It was new at the time!
BM66 have Five or six multipliers!!!It's great to the strategy!!!
Only four missions(the same) on BDK. I no longer count them on BM66!!!
Three multiballs on BDK that can be played in the same time. Very fun.
There are a lot of multiballs on BM66. But you can't combine them.
BDK is a fun game to play with a goal: The final.
BM66 is more strategy game. There is no final. Just a strategy to move forward and take points.
I don't have a real preference. They do not have the same technology.
Both are very good game!
