Quoted from Baiter:

For perspective I think estimates go like this:
NFL (85), NBA (250), CSI/24/BBH, IMOG (1000), Avatar (1000 Pro + 250 LE)

From what I remember hearing, CSI and 24 are not that high - I thought those two had been relatively established, and I am pretty sure both were well under 500.

I remember when BBH and IM came out, someone with ties to the company had told me (and I honestly forget who) that those two games changed the fortunes of the company. I would assume that they were both at or close to 1k sellers, although I don't know.

Quoted from Baiter:

That's the first I've ever seen someone comment that BBH was a hit with Stern... I've consistently heard the opposite.

Let's put it this way...

Before BBH, we had CSI and 24. Sales of these were so poor that the company was in serious risk of going under. Tons of designers and programmers were let go. There was serious talk about Stern needing to shut down.

From what I was told, the success of BBH and IM with operators (both were widely panned by collectors) allowed Stern to keep the doors open and sort of stabilize themselves. Neither were smash hits like ACDC was for instance, but both sold significantly more than the games before it (WoF and BDK also sold poorly) and proved a market was still there.

My BBH is coming home any moment now. I'm excited to see her again

Never had the Elk fall off. I have had a ton of issues with the moving Buck target. It's sensitivity is screwy and can't be adjusted (I'm guessing a break in the wire, so I need to rewire it now) and lately I've noticed it was scratching the playfield on the back part.

Is there a guide to how to rebuild this? I've got my game down until I figure out at least a playfield scratching fix, but it's the one pinball problem I've had recently that I have no further ideas...

Hey, not sure if you were citing that thread to show me or for some other reason. The previous owner did exactly what that thread said and so did I. Seemed to work-ish for a while, but now the plastic is scraping the playfield. I'd love to figure out how to fix it. It's super annoying to have the game down for so long over something that shouldn't be so damn hard to fix.

Quoted from OLDPINGUY:

I have had a kind and generous friend help with a Buck not scoring.....Needless to see, "SOB"
was a common phrase, with more effort than should be needed.
Have I overlooked, or does anyone have any tips, changes, etc in Moving Buck with regard to target scoring? Clever repairs?
Mines working fine right now, this would be for what might be needed "next".
Thanks!

I am hoping to take the time to completely pull mine apart and rebuild from scratch, as there seems to be no information out there about how to do it beyond the other thread on it already, which I believe was actually my machine before I bought it, but things went further south and now the mech is scratching the heck out of my playfield, thus the game is off.

I, sadly, probably won't be able to get to it until May, however.
