My Baywatch upper gate coil goes on and off
It’s suppose to stay on a couple of seconds to maintain upper gate open
    What can be the problem?
    Thanks

Sounds like it's confused by switches that either open it or close it.

    LTG : )

I’ve been having a similar problem on mine. When I hit the left orbit (99% of the time unless the ball is going slow) the ball bounces off a post and goes back out the orbit to the left. It makes it hard to get the bonus X up and it’s a little annoying. Is this the same problem you are having? I just got this one a short time ago so I’m not familiar with how it’s supposed to play. Excellent machine! Very underrated!

Well, pop open that machine and look at the coil. Is the wire falling off ? Is there a switch that activates it ? How are those wires ?

If that game has a test menu then go see what happens when you fire that coil, same with the switch test.

Did you ever get this resolved? I am having the same issue right now. The gate opens for a split second then shuts. It was working great before but now I am having this issue. I took the gate mechanism out from under the play field and everything looks okay. During the coil test it also just does a quick open/close (pulse). I remember when it was working that it would stay on for a few seconds then. I checked the resistance (Ohms) on the mini coil and got 51ohms. The replacement coil resistance is close to that so I believe the coil is okay...?

EDIT: ISSUE RESOLVED! Coil power was set to HARD causing this "bug". But I don't recall changing this setting because it was working before...but maybe I did accidentally, not exactly sure.
