Baywatch
Sega, 1995I was wiggling the wires by the power supply board the other day on my baywatch to get the display working & all of a sudden
it started humming out of the speakers. The volume doesn't turn it down. The game plays ok but there is no sound. I removed the power supply board & reflowed all the pins. All the gounds for the game and the boards are tight. Any ideas ?

You might need to repin the connectors. As they are not meant for many "cycles" (plugging and unplugging) can simply lose tension, the "springiness" of the contacts, and develop oxidation. Reflowing the pins is only 1/2 the job. The fact that wiggling the wires caused the problem symptom is a giveaway that you have a poor electrical connection somewhere.

Me too. 
I just got the game fixed ! I had an extra power supply in the garage & thought it was for my Pinbot. But I got it down & tried it & it works perfectly !!! I think on the old board the transistor in the middle with the big chunk of heat shield around it has a slight bulge to it as compared to my other one. So maybe thats the problem with it.
