New member to the club here! Anybody know where I can find a set of service rails? One is missing and the other is bent out of shape .

I noticed the stern Sam era rails look like they might fit, but didn’t know for sure.

Also, does Cliffy not sell protectors for BW any more? Didn't see them on his site.

Quoted from foxtj24:

Mine came without rails. I installed a set I had bought for a modern stern. They fit perfectly.

Great - Thank you!

I’m having an issue with the vuk opto reading closures. I found that one of the transistors on the receiving board was defective and replaced it. I also replaced the leds on both boards. The led on the transmitting board is lit brightly and is squarely on the receiving board’s led.

Any other tips?

Quoted from maffewl:

VUK opto? Interesting as Baywatch uses a loop cherry switch.

As per the manual, switch 15, “5 ball trough vuk opto”.

Ah... I was thinking you were referring to the Earthquake VUK, not the trough.
Sounds like you've narrowed it to the receiver board. Have you tested all connections there?

Yeah, everything appears solid. Connectors at the mpu and receiver pcb are good. It has a brand new rottendog mpu installed and all other switches are working properly.

My guess is the other surface mount transistor failed in some capacity.

Just wanted to check with the club to make sure I wasn’t missing anything else that could be obvious otherwise.

I've seen the dimensions posted on a wiki, but wanted to know if anybody could confirm the exact dimensions of the backglass? Mine is missing and the translite is all chewed up :/

I ended up snagging a nos translate off eBay and found the actual dimensions are 26 3/8” x 19 11/16”.

The pinball wiki appears to be wrong on the glass size. They list 26" x 19-1/4" x 1/8" as size for baywatch and a few other sega titles.

I’d be eternally grateful if someone could find a moment to measure and post the actual dimensions of their glass.

Quoted from gweempose:

I just measured mine, and it's approximately 26 1/2" x 19 3/4". The PinWiki dimensions were wrong. I've reached out to the person who manages that page.

Thank you! I appreciate it.

Btw - was that with or without the trim installed?

#2699 5 years ago
Quoted from gweempose:

It was with the trim installed, but I tried to measure just the glass as accurately as I could. Unfortunately, I couldn't easily remove the trim because it still had the super sticky factory black tape.

That works for me. I was just going to deduct the ~1/16" of thickness that the trim adds from the measurements you provided. Thanks again!

FYI - I ended up using the exact measurements you provided and I can confirm everything fits as it should. Thanks again!

Quoted from northvibe:

I just came to get some info on this, the manual (Marco) doesn’t have anything for schematics.
My game came with the stock ps board with a bad 5v so a arcade ps was hacked in. It worked, but I’m reversing it as the ps board was repaired.
The top left plug was cut off and I think I’m missing the 2nd power plug for the dmd? Any help would be great![quoted image][quoted image]

The smaller plug runs to the top left connector on your power supply. Does this help enough for tonight?
