Quoted from SirMachismo:Great score, and welcome to the club! Get a NVRam chip to get rid of the batteries (plug and play), find a place to get Chad’s Code (make sure to donate something to him for his work) it really is great, and there are a lots of knowledgeable people here. Keep us updated. Oh, and get the anti sway stand-up target bracket for any yellow targets that move too much for you. If Baywatch is to flashy for you disconnecting CN7 in the back box will stop the flashing altogether.

Great info, thanks so much!
Do you know if GI OCD does anything for this game? I have one in my DESW that doesn't do anything so I could move it into Baywatch.
NVRan is en route, my buddy mbt has a rom burner for Chad's code, and I am going to order the anti away kit tonight! Thanks again dude!
Quoted from SirMachismo:I don’t know but that would be awesome if it did! I swear my heart rate gets all messed up from the flashing on Baywatch before disconnecting CN7…only pin to do that to me. Still an amazing pin with so many things to shoot at. Let me know if it works I might have to pick one up.

I will Def let you know either way!
Quoted from radial_head:The LED OCD boards only have an effect on WPC games and I /think/ on Capcom games if you happen to have some. The GI on DE/Sega games is controlled by a relay on the PSU. The EnerGI Maestro board is what you're looking for, but they've long since gone into unobtanium land.
Or you could, you know, put in fresh incandescents like it was designed to have.
Thanks, but incandescents are outdated technology that use more electricity and look like garbage IMO, so that suggestion is not an option for me. Also, the LED OCD boards have drastically improved a couple of my Stern games, so they don't only have an effect on wpc and Capcom. All my opinion obviously, and I do thank you for your response!
Quoted from Gogojohnnyquack:You might hit up Pinsider HighVoltage for a Pin2DMD. I bought one from him for my WCS94. He's a collector here in the PNW and a good guy.
Thanks so much! I messaged him.
Quoted from radial_head:You're right. I didn't realize they made GI boards for Sys11, Stern, and Capcom. Apparently the LED OCD GIzmo board works for DE/relay based GI games. Seems like they're out of stock though.
To be clear though, the normal LED OCD boards are for controlled lamps, not GI.
If you want the fading of the original incandescents, it's either incandescent GI, or this board.
Yes sir, that's exactly right. Luckily I already have the gizmo board that I can use in this machine and comet had an led ocd in stock so I ordered from them. Now to get my hands on a ColorDMD or Pin2DMD!
Quick question (I searched but couldn't find it, and my game is not at my house). Do I need the notched / cutout button side guard rails (https://www.pinballlife.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=535-5010-31_535-5010-32_notch) or without? (https://www.pinballlife.com/black-button-guard-side-rails-for-data-east.html)
Thanks!
Edit: looks like not notched.
My Baywatch lifeguard tower was missing the railing on the left side, so I designed one w/ wood grain and 3D printed it in "wood" PLA. The color isn't perfect, so I may pick up another few rolls until it's as close as possible. I'll throw the STL file on thingiverse and will offer these in my 3D print store as well. I still need to "clean up" the print / design a bit too, just wanted to share my first test print with everyone.
Quoted from sudsy7:It looks pretty good, but you should change it to a mitered corner like the original IMO.
I am, that is one of the things I am "cleaning up" on the design.
Quoted from Triplecdad:I thought you might be interested in a photo of this guard shack. It was on my game when I bought the game. My understanding is that the modfather (you can find him online) painted it for the previous owner.
[quoted image]
Thanks for sharing. I have thought of doing that but am on the fence. Do you have any pics of the entire playfield with the shack stained like that?
Quoted from mayo:Hi guys,
i just got a BW pinball machine here in France but unfortunately there is the white Ball Launch button missing.
Does anybody have it in spare for sale or can indicate me where i could find one ?
appreciate your help.
Pascal
My recently purchased Baywatch was missing a flasher & mount on the main wire ramp, so I replicated the design for everyone who 3D prints.

Here is the free STL - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5427184
The machine was also missing the left railing on the lifeguard tower hut, so I designed that as well and am offering that for free here - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5427178
Interior restoration by Eddie is almost done, still a good amount left but he is doing an amazing job. Got the ramps back from the powder coater today and dry fit them on the pf to see how they look. Flippers, posts, etc still left but check out the ramps!
You can follow the restore by following Eddie 's company, Pintech, on Facebook https://facebook.com/613646548752772/
My Baywatch restore by Eddie at Pintech is just about done! Check out the final photos, the game looks amazing! I'll be picking it up tomorrow.
Last night I completely stripped / sanded my entire baywatch cabinet to start prepping for new decals! More pics to come.
Also, if you're on Facebook check out this baywatch pinball group https://www.facebook.com/groups/3232822083656641/
Quoted from northerndude:You doing original artwork or is there an alternate one made? I saw retro had them a looong time ago i think
I'm going with original artwork from retro refurb. I used their cabinet decals for my TSPP and am very happy with the quality.
Quoted from Ive:Do you have the retro refurb decals to hand ?
I only ask because their service has been very poor of late - pinheads over here complaining of unfulfilled orders, long delays with no response to enquiries etc
Yes I do. I've placed probably a half a dozen orders with them and have never had an issue.
Finished the cabinet restoration on my Baywatch! Installed Retro Refurb decals after fully stripping, priming, painting, etc. Resto thread here https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/immaculate-baywatch-restoration
Does anyone know where I can get a stencil for the back?

Why thank you!!!!
Quoted from Huggers:This is beautiful man. What Side armour is that? I need some with the protectors around the flipper buttons that will fit a Baywatch. Would this fit? https://www.pinball.center/en/shop/pinball-parts/cabinet-parts/side-rails/7242/side-rails-for-data-east-1-pair-535-5010-3x
Thanks! I used these https://www.pinballlife.com/black-button-guard-side-rails-for-data-east.html
I needed to drill new holes but it's very easy and worth it.
Quoted from Huggers:Is there a good Pinsound mix for this game? Has anyone installed it?
Yes there are multiple. I have them on my machine and am happy. Pinsound is a must in my opinion.
Hey all, check out these awesome buttons that I got from Rocket City Pinball! In my opinion, this start button is one of his best!

Enjoy!
Does anyone have an issue with their drop targets getting knocked out of alignment after a hard hit, requiring glass removal and resetting? If so, is there a fix for that? If not, I'm going to design and 3d print one.
Quoted from Grandnational007:Are you talking about the standup targets at the entrance to the ramps? I believe Mezel makes a splint mod for those, if that's what you mean.
Nope, referring to the 3 drop targets across from the shark scoop.
Quoted from Soulrider911:So my subway has the notorious broken tab. I am making a 3d printed support. If anyone is interested I can put the files up. I can also print them for a small fee for folks.
Cheers.[quoted image]
That's a good idea! I'll take the stl!
Quoted from Soulrider911:Well, “partial restore” just turned into full haha. Cabinet will get fully repaired.
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Awesome, it'll be fun! Looks like you'll be needing some fiberglass for those repairs. Check out my baywatch restoration thread https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/immaculate-baywatch-restoration
Quoted from Soulrider911:Inside paint is done.
[quoted image]
Looking good! What kind of paint did you use? Did you prime first?
Quoted from Soulrider911:Finally arrived! Also got 2 Backbox warning decals: one blue, and one black as I’m not sure if I’m going to paint the cabinet blue or black.
[quoted image]
Nice! Where did you get the backbox warning decals?
Quoted from Soulrider911:Got the powdercoat back. Not sure I like it. It’s very cool in direct sunlight but in a dark game room not sure.
[quoted image]
[quoted image][quoted image]
I also tried the gold I did for my pirates to see what it looked like. It’s ok, but not sold
[quoted image]
[quoted image]
I might end up going red’ish[quoted image]
Here's my BW that I restored and powder coated red. I also used decals from retro refurb
Quoted from radial_head:How do you feel about the quality of the decals? I"ve got ten a few things from Resto and have had mixed results.
I used their decals for 3 different machines and have been happy with all 3 so far. I too have read mixed reviews, so I guess I'm lucky.
Quoted from northerndude:ALSO Mike, I stumbled on your baywatch resto thread, you spelled immamaculate wrong
lol I didn't have it in me to put it in the subject!
Quoted from BozoTheClown:I have them on my machine. No issues yet.
Can we see a pic?
Quoted from BozoTheClown:Images attached.
[quoted image]
[quoted image]I didn't do the upper left flipper as I liked the fluorescent orange one from factory. Plus since the shark fin flipper can't really be swapped out with anything different, I'm okay with it. Additionally I hadn't used precision flippers before so I didn't want to over-invest before ever using them. If they ever release a short flipper bat maybe I'll replace the other two as I already have a new shark fin sitting in my spare parts.
Looks nice, thanks for sharing. They do have a small flipper available, I purchased two of them for my Simpsons Pinball Party
Quoted from Soulrider911:ITs finally done! Thanks to mikespins for the suggestion on the powdercoat. The color fits this theme very well. This was a fun project, now time to enjoy it. [quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Wow, looks great!! Even got the 3D buttons!
Quoted from northerndude:https://www.retrorefurbs.com/shop/baywatch-sega-pinball-cabinet-decals/
I like retro refurbs products.
I have their side blades.
I’ve seen a few different powder coats. Red, blue. Search through this threads pics at the top.
Same ones I used! I posted pictures of my powder coated baywatch in this thread as well.
Quoted from pinballplusMN:Hope all is well! Looking for best choice for cabinet decals for BW as well as powder coating scheme suggestions. Thank you! JR
Check out my restoration thread https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/immaculate-baywatch-restoration
Quoted from Godziraman:Thanks for all the feedback guys. Yeah agreed there is zero fade on this machine as it lived in a clean dry finished basement.
I’m also in agreement on this being an early sample/proto. I will continue to do what research I can on it. Where do I find labels w serial/datestamp typically?
And silly question, I can update the ROM chip to the latest version and I would notice better game play/less bugs?[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
It's almost like they wanted a couple less booties in bikinis on the cabinet so changed it around a little bit. I would love to see the manufactured date on that pin!
Quoted from pinballdork:This is IT!!! I would get a good kick around about 20 percent. Now 100 freekin percent. I always thought it was the door interfering... I added a stick of Bakelite I had with double side tape and slid it between the coil and the left ball guide (when facing the machine). The material is a hair over 1/16 inch - 2.5mm thick. And 3/8 tall any size should work as long as the new guide is held where the ball makes full contact with it. And about 2 1/2 inches long.
Now I can successfully play my favorite mode of the game Tidal Wave!!! What an amazing mode!
Pamela Thanks you for figuring this out!!!
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Do you mind taking some pics, please? Maybe. A little further out also. I'm having a hard time understanding. Thanks!
