Looking to install chad's rom 4.01 Theres a note about running display rom 4.00 on pinball code webpage "make sure your game is running DISPLAY VERSION 4.00 for proper game functionality. " My game has display V4.02 for rom3 and rom0.

Anybody know if these are compatible? Is it display version 4.00 and up or has to be 4.00? I actually couldnt even find any info on 4.02?

#3524 3 years ago

Having an issue getting the ball up to the launcher. I just replaced the trough up-kicker coil (AE-23-800) as it stopped working and after inspection realized it was not the correct coil (J22-550). I'm actually not sure if the coil was bad or the diode but after seeing it wasn't correct I just replaced both. Before it stopped working it would get the ball up to the launcher every time. Now that the correct one is installed it doesn't have nearly enough power to get it up to the launcher out of the trough, ball only comes up about 85-90% of the way up the shoot. Any suggestions or people with similar issues before? thanks

Can someone confirm a few things for me please.

I'm missing my upper cab trim the glass slides into. According to manual on Cabinet Parts Page this trim, "#27 Rear plastic Ext. Playfield glass" (see link below) is held on by "#28 Mounting Foam Rubber for Ext. " (see other link)

Does the link below seem like the correct trim, in an "F" shape?

Does yours have foam holding it on? My cab looks like it used to be stapled? See pic. Thanks

Quoted from SirMachismo:

When I look at my Baywatch your manual doesn’t seem correct. My “F” rear plastic looks like it is stapled on as well and underneath the rear flashers plastic. As for the mounting foam rubber I think that is what is under my lock bar. I hope these pics help. Hopefully someone else can echo my findings or have better guidance.
Best,

Thanks Lb! I think staples are correct and the manual wrong as you said. Even when you look up the foam part # on marco in the description it says "Used under front molding (lockbar) on Data East / Sega/ and Stern pinball machines." ...Unless it is foamed and stapled maybe to help adhere and soak up impact when you slide the glass in? Either way thanks for confirming and pics!

Quoted from shaub:

I ended up using 3 of your typical 1/2" length #8 sheet metal screws to reattach mine after removing it to repair the flasher wiring. Seemed like a better option than re-stapling it so that I could remove it again later if needed.

I like the serviceability of that! Do you remember if there was foam behind the trim or was it just against the wood? thanks

#4016 2 years ago
Quoted from shaub:

Pretty certain there was no foam. I don't actually see what purpose that would even serve.

Thanks for confirming!

Quoted from SKORR_Arcades:

Does anyone in this Baywatch group own a Baywatch and know how long it takes to boot up when cold (off for at least a day)?

Mine boots in seconds....definitely not minutes

Ahoy all. Went to play a game last nite. Everything working as it should except I have no insert/controlled lamp lighting!? Flashers work. Haven't had time to dig in to it but figured I'd see if anybody here had ideas/guidance/suggestions. thanks!

#4104 2 years ago

Thanks guys, I dug in and F2 (off the board) was blown, after testing it appears my bridge @ BR1 has caught a radical wave and totally slammed!

In other news! Had some of these made up and have extras. Fitment is spot on and I'm happy with the quality. $5 shipped each if anybody is interested just PM me. thx

Nice of that eBay seller to just copy/paste my work. No credit. No link to my web page.

You should absolutely contact ebay and get that taken down
