Looks nice, thanks for sharing. They do have a small flipper back, I purchased two of them for my Simpsons Pinball Party

Ah, they do sell mini flippers now. I was one of the first ones to purchase from them and they didn't have a huge selection at the time. It just took me way too long to get my BW back together due to "life".

#4902 1 year ago

Their flipper kits are pretty amazingly engineered. My friend has them on some of his games. I like my shark flipper too much lol

Just get a new shark topper for the small bat precision flipper.

I always thought the blue halos would look awesome on this pin.

#4905 1 year ago

Whaaat! Awesome I’m going to order one just to have as a backup

What are the advantages with these flippers? I am on the fence, but before buying I would like to hear some feedback.

They make it easier to hit shots as well as dial in flipper angles from above the playfield. Best upgrade you can do imo

There is extensive information in some Spike2 stern game threads AND there is a dedicated thread to it. Do research, you'll find your info for sure

Thanks in advance.

ITs finally done! Thanks to mikespins for the suggestion on the powdercoat. The color fits this theme very well. This was a fun project, now time to enjoy it.

Red molding on the head would tie the red together. I know there's not t-molding there, but could still get red, flat adhesive trim.

Love the leg bolts.

You'd find it as automotive trim. I used chrome on my Baywatch head because I had some leftover from something.

Added spotlights, lighted starpost and drain led.

Love that game

Thank you all for the kind words, its nice to see hard work appreciated. Question for you Color DMD owners. I have noticed that on the final score screen - after the match scrren - mine blanks out? Is this a know bug or issue? Or is it just mine? Thanks for any help

#4923 1 year ago

Instead of adding spotlights, which do their job, consider making a set of stadium style lights. The game looks fantastic lit up nicely with warm white with a hint of yellow. Of course you could also buy Pinstadiums, but a DIY option works really well.

This will take a little more time.
Short answer: My Baywatch shows the final score with the blue beach backdrop...so yes your Baywatch ColorDMD doesn't match mine.

Question: Does yours blank out all the time?

I noticed that in your video you got the boobies bouncing match sequence for all the guards. I will need to play a few more games to see the boobies bouncing sequences, to be sure. you know...for science's sake.

#4925 1 year ago

Thanks SirMachismo what rom are you on? I updates to Chad’s code… wondering if that could be it?

No mine only blanks on that particular screen no others. Initially i had a reset problem but them learned my 5v connection was poor. Cleaned the header contacts and reflowed solder and solved that one.

And you have a color dmd not pin2dmd correct?

I am running Chad’s Code as well 4.01 with a ColorDMD (not sure which version of the ColorDMD code I downloaded).

Ok thanks buddy I emailed color dmd see what they say.

I’m running CPU/DISP SET v4.01 / 4.0

I might factory reset the dmd and see if it renders that screen or still blanks

I know you get the first girls booby jiggles spelling GUARD. How do you get them all?

Mine doesn't blank out like that either.

#4930 1 year ago

Well I am having a lot of fun over here... lord something REAL odd is going on with my game... so upon further playing and digging I am noticing that the game is not registering ANY scores at all... All switches are fine in switch test.... so the only thing i can think of is a ROM or computer issue. Can someone do me a favor and let me know if my display roms are in the right place.
Thank you!

Quoted from RyanStl:

Mine doesn't blank out like that either.

Game 1: Water skier video mode, shark hole skill shot, squid pops, multi-ball, CPR, shark cove, extra ball, shark flip, diver trapped, chopper rescue, lane change skill shot, with a score of 1,147,364,700.
Match sequence = only one set of bouncing boobies

Game 2: chopper rescue, shark hole skill shot, spelled guard, score 352,857, 520.
Match sequence = only one set of bouncing boobies

Game 3: Spelled guard (hit 4 shots), shark cove, trapped diver, shark hole flipper skill shot, with a score of 434,023,410.
Match sequence = bouncing boobies

Conclusion: ??? Game 1 was my best by far and covered a lot of what happened in game 3. I did progress a lot further in GUARD in game 3 hitting 4 of 5 shots.

I have a 12v led warning light that I would like to add like a topper.
Using coil output number 15.
What would be an easy way to hook this up?

#4933 1 year ago

Well this is frustrating. The game is playable and everything works as it should all seems well... BUT the score on the display always reads 0. My assumption is its either a ribbon cable issue or the main board. Does anyone have any ideas? I would love any help.

Can you factory reset your Baywatch in the service menu? I know it’s a long shot, but that is what I would do next.

Maybe start a thread in that issue alone. You'll get more help

Well, that's a new one. Since everything looks normal, except for the score registration, my guess would be a chip on the CPU isn't performing it's normal arithmetic op duties. Maybe it's a bad chip or maybe it's just not getting proper voltage. Try taking the CPU board completely out of the backbox, look for cold solder joints on components and connectors and reflow if necessary. Lift socketed chips up slightly and reseat. Reinstall the board. Maybe you'll get lucky and wipe just enough tarnish off of a connector pin or chip leg to get it working again. Good luck!

Sale posting:

Hey all,

I am sellling my Baywatch. I had previously planned on pimping it out with pthermes Baywatch shaker he made, alt translite, and pin2dmd color dmd. Long story short, I got this game from a friend, I knew I would get it a while ago and bought the parts, I brought the game home finally and the wife isn't a fan of the art (I have 3 little girls). She requested I move it along. I know mods don't usually add value to games and thought I'd just try to get my money back out of them and sell them separate.

For sale: Pin2DMD, has activation code, Baywatch files running, works perfect.
Alt translite,
Custom Shaker.

If there is any interest, PM me and I'll send pics and prices.

Thank you,

Jared

Hey guys, i have a question regarding the unofficial code 4.01,

that's what i am running and i recently added a Tiltaudio soundboard, but all my callouts are mixed up, nothing is like it is with stock sound board,
is that because the updated code callouts trigger are not like the original rom ?

#4947 1 year ago

When updating code to 4.01
Do you keep the stock sound rom?

#4948 1 year ago

Running the new code, can't figure it all out:

It looks like you can get a locked ball without hitting the targets down and up the guard tower within 30sec? I've seen "Locked Ball" appear when hitting the guard tower shot and the trap door doesn't open? Is there a written set of instructions anywhere for the new code??

Thanks.

Its a while ago but I seem to remember after installing the new code my trap door had been disabled in the settings . No idea how …but worth checking .
Also if your ramp entrance switch isn’t activating the trapdoor won’t open.

From Chads website …..
Adjustment 51 will Enable or Disable the Left Ramp Trap Door (default is Enabled/Yes). If the Trap Door is disabled then a regular Left Ramp shot will always count as the same Lock or Jackpot shot.
