What do you have to do to get asked for your initials on the shark hole?

Get high scores.

Get the shark hole jackpot during multi ball.

Quoted from Pinballocks:

Yep. If you are running v.4.01 (and you should be) then the initials for Shark Hole are always the most recent person to achieve Shark Jackpot during multiball.

#2507 5 years ago

Thanks for the answers on the shark letters. When I put in a new rom my initials went away and it had been so long since I scored the Shark jackpot and I forgot what it did.

My BW has started acting up in the last day...after a certain amount of time of being on the ColorDMD will freeze on a certain frame and not unfreeze unless the machine is restarted. Has also sporadically rebooted the DMD (showing the Baywatch display version # etc) mid game. Any idea where to start?

the DMD board, which is mounted to the back side of the dmd/speaker panel. check connectors. Wires may be falling out of the pins

Test the bridge rectifier, BR2, I think. Search this thread for my post about replacing the bridge rectifier to doublecheck. But my DMD starting resetting often and would say, "Baywatch will be right back", but the game itself did not reset. Starting happening a lot when coils were firing, especially the pops. Simple to replace the BR since it is just 4 large lugs to solder and it's not near other traces.

Time to clean Baywatch. I was not thrilled how dirty this was when I purchased this but I will enjoy it more when its cleaned and polished.

I noticed these two post did not have a o-ring installed on them. The book said install a 3/8 o-ring but I don't see how the the o-ring would stay on the post because there no groove cut on the post? Anyone using a sleeve post?

I posted the same question on page 17. I do believe the consensus is a 3/8 o-ring does go on it and the fact there is no groove in the post is a non issue. Though I do t recall if I ended up putting on a post sleeve instead, a 3/8 ring, or nothing at all.

I'm thinking I will do a silicone sleeve.

Has anyone powder coated the wire ramps? I was thinking of doing mine in black. Anyone have any suggestions?

I'm going to rebuild the pop bumpers and change the skirt to red and the body to yellow.

I'm installing comet LEDs
Cliffy protectors
Flipper rebuild
Cushion target decals
New legs
Titan Rings

#2516 5 years ago

I don’t use a ring on that post because it can cause the ball to bounce when hit trying for the skill shots. Don’t think there is supposed to be one.

Hey, team

I've been thinking about installing a G&R coil on my Baywatch's lower right flipper. I'm sick of tower shots rolling back every time.

https://www.pinballlife.com/index.php?p=product&id=1379

Has anyone tried this? What's the risk to the flipper board or other electronics?

I’d try rebuilding the flipper mech first. I have no problem on the tower shot and I’d assume most other owners don’t too.

I also have put in a set of PinLed flipper boards which are better than the original flipper boards

Yes you are correct they are upside down. Now that the repairs are completed I will be moving it to the game room.

I installed a new flipper rebuild kit and coil brackets. The end of stroke switches were replaced. The original flipper coils are in good shape. The other two flippers were rebuilt too. I will post playfield photos tomorrow.

Here are the playfield photos The pop bumper body that is located under the iron man ramp is different. I had to trim some plastic off the top of it.

Does anyone know the part number for the backbox hinge bolt and the cabinet hinge pivot bushing? Or know the dimension?
I didn't found the part number in the manual

Is that top post of the two standard? Or has someone added it? It feels out of place to make the game easier since it can't be adjusted like the lower post.

Does anyone know where I can buy plastic G and Z for my Baywatch? Or does anyone have them for sale? Last option, does anyone have them scanned and wants to share the file with me? Thanks

So I just bought a baywatch about a week ago thought it would be fitting for my lineup because in three years I will be a retired coast guard aviator. The game is way better then I thought it would be. One issue that I see is that my pop bumpers score is not increasing. I read the manual and it says if you shoot the left orbit after the ball travels through the right in lane that it increases the pop value. Any help would be very appreciated

Where did you find this for sale??

#2545 5 years ago

Here's a simple mod that drastically improves gameplay. Remove the clear plastic over the right ramp just behind the "Search and Rescue" sign. On my machine, fast balls would occasionally get rejected because of the plastic. Now that shot is smooth as butter.

#2547 5 years ago

I'll regrettably be listing my Baywatch for sale, if you know anyone that might be looking

Yes, you get squid pop value in the right inlane. The value increases every time the ball passes it in steps of three from 500k up to 1 million I think.

As for the registering, check the switches and clean them with a piece of paper in between. The switches are self cleaning but if the machine had been sitting a while it could be poor contact.
