Quoted from PoMC:Replace the shooter lane switch for sure. Had to do that on both my BWs ...
The switch appears to be fine. I bent the actuator up a bit, and it seems to be working well for for now. Fingers crossed.

Quoted from golfingdad1:I think it's used to "shield" wires on the left side of inside cab.
Thanks! If someone has a photo of the shield installed, it would be much appreciated.
Is there any source for the SEGA/Sonic decal that came on the coin door from the factory? My game has one, but one corner is missing.
Quoted from gweempose:I found this laying at the bottom of my cabinet today? Is this part of the game, and if so, where does it go? It appears to be some kind of insulating sheet.
Is this it? Goes over back flipper board on left inside cabinet.5DCA5373-B093-4025-B942-CB07901E530C (resized).jpeg
Quoted from yellowghost:First is which display rom do I need to change ? One on left, right or both
If you are installing the new code, you need to replace both display roms.
Quoted from PinRob:Is this it? Goes over back flipper board on left inside cabinet.
Yep. That appears to be it. Thanks!
Quoted from golfingdad1:Here you go Sir,
This is taken straight down,
Looks like it should cover that pcb mounted on the left side of the cab
Awesome! Thanks so much for the photos!

I need this as well . I don't have any sticker on my door at all.

I looked around briefly for it, but I wasn't able to find it at any of the usual places.

Yes both needed.

Marcos looks like it has an entire package.

Yep. I just found this set for Star Wars Trilogy ...

That's definitely the right decal, but $39 is an insane price if all you need is the coin door decal.
Quoted from gweempose:It's weird that the Baywatch set doesn't include it ...

Let me know if you find "one" , and I'll do the same.
Quoted from PoMC:Good call. Any color other than brass looks pretty bad and a color actually draws your eyes to the wire forms and doesn't make them disappear at all.
Mine are blue and they look way better than brass, but that's my opinion and not in any way a foregone conclusion. LOL.

Pics , I would like to see that
Quoted from aerobert:There's a household trick to jazz up the coil, or rather the plunger rod. Rub the rod all over with aluminum foil. It will feel like new.
Aluminum is normally not magnetic but there's other things at play with objects in movement and current called Lenz law.
Lenz Law - really? Stand down on the physics, dude. It's a switch adjustment and it will never be perfect because the speed at which the ball enters the outlane is not constant. Therefore kickback speed out of the lane will always vary (regardless of how shiny the plunger is).

Post #1022. I was not the first to do it, either.

I like to think that great minds just think alike.

I'm sitting on the fence regarding blue ramps. They certainly look better when compared to old brass ramps were the brass has been rubbed off. And it is so much cheaper to power coated them blue instead of re-brassing them. But shiny fully brassed ramps look pretty awesome!

I was referring to the plunger rod in the coil. Not the actual part that hits the ball. You can get a faster action from the coil by rubbing the rod with aluminum foil. An electrified coil is a magnet.

Yes, a solenoid is an electromagnet - that's not Lenz's Law. You can rub your rod with aluminum foil as hard and fast and as many times as you want, but it's not going to improve the performance of the kicker.
Okay, I hate to jinx myself, but my game is finally playing 100%. Every time I thought I had everything fixed, something else would stop working. There must have been at least half a dozen cold solder joints that needed addressing. What a fun game! It's even better with Chad's new code. He did an amazing job on it!
Next, I'm going order a bunch of LED's for it. I'm not looking forward to doing the GI. Whose brilliant idea was it to staple all the GI sockets to the bottom of the playfield? Are all Sega games like this?
Quoted from yellowghost:Thanks. Are both identacle?
No , and they do have specific locations on the board .
See previous picture and location on board with corresponding numbered chip.
Quoted from gweempose:I just installed my first official mod ...
I love it! Now I want one. Where did you find it.

so which is it? replace both roms or just 1? I was told if I have 4.0 installed I only need chads newest one.
Quoted from ccbiggsoo7:so which is it? replace both roms or just 1? I was told if I have 4.0 installed I only need chads newest one.
This is correct. If you are already running display version 4.00, then all you need to do is swap out the CPU ROM with Chad's.
Quoted from ccbiggsoo7:so which is it? replace both roms or just 1? I was told if I have 4.0 installed I only need chads newest one.
If you have the 4.00 Display ROMs already, then all you need is the single new v.4.01 CPU ROM.

Chad's code is so worth it!!! Can't believe how nice it is to have a working skill shot again without hours of adjustment!!! Everyone remember to donate at Pinballcode.com!!!
Quoted from PTHermes:Can't believe how nice it is to have a working skill shot again without hours of adjustment!!!
Same here and that‘s what surprised me the most! Just tightened the shooter assembly screws (i‘ve done this like 10 times before) but since i installed the new code my skillshot works 95 percent! Dont know why but unlike before the ball always makes it past the top lanes when it‘s supposed to! Don‘t think it‘s just the fixed top gate programming, there must be some serious coil enhancing mojo in chad‘s code too
Please help me settle a dispute. What is the Hoff saying at game start - "__________ coast guard station, we're in route"? Fill in the blank -3 people in my house are hearing it differently. Is it "Point bridge", "Corn bread", "Port beach", or none of the above?

I always thought it was "Point Ridge".
Quoted from bridgeman:Is there anyone burning roms? If so I do t have the means but would like a set. Thanks.

Great seller!
I made another DIY "Pinstadium" kit for Baywatch tonight. I just needed white LED lighting to evenly illuminate the playfield. So these lights do not flash with the GI, they are simply lighting the PF so you can see the artwork and track the ball. Same kit I made for Big Hurt, which like Baywatch is sorely lacking in lighting.
I had to hardwire 12v for Big Hurt since there wasn't a service outlet. But this kit I want to be able to move to any other game by powering it from the service outlet. I have lots of spare power supplies saved and fished out two 12v wall warts that had the proper size tips.
I also had a strip of PVC angle and used it even thought it was 3/4" wide, no big deal, but 1/2" is plenty wide.
