What type of battery is this and will this battery give me trouble in the future

its on a gottlieb mpu board system 80a

If it is a lithium, you are fine. If it is a nicad, it needs to be removed. Find the imprinting on the battery. Looks like a nicad to me.

No matter what kind of battery it is, there is some risk of it leaking.
I'd move it if it were my pin. Or, better yet, replace it with a SuperCap. Easy. No leaking, ever. Works like a hose.

IM going to replace it with a battery pack I have a spare one lying around I will add a diode 1n4004 on the positive side ,yea I think its better to be safe than sorry
