I have a Maverick that I want to replace the batteries in. I can't get the old ones out! I am afraid I'll damage the board by pulling too hard. The batteries won't even spin they're in there so tight. Is there a trick to this?

I would get a little flat blade screwdriver and pry them out. As long as you are careful and only contacting the battery and the holder there shouldn't be any problems.

Can I do this with the machine on so I don't lose my high scores?

Gently lift up one of the top contact tabs and pull out the top portion of the battery with some needle nose pliers.

You then should be able to then grab it with your hand and gently pull the rest of it out.

Once you get all of them off the board, invest in a remote battery holder.

Make sure the machine is on to avoid losing your high scores!

A trick I sometimes do with stubborn fuses is to thread a zip toe behind it. You can cinch the tie down by one end and this gives you something to grab onto. Grab the tie with a pair of pliers and gently pull.

I've done this, it's the way to go.
