Everybody can just reply when these pre-orderers complain about playfield problems with a quote of my post above.

Based on Stern's history, I would not expect much code support after the initial release if it is a limited run of games.
They don't spend as much time on code for games that don't continue to sell. They likely would have a decent base code on game release, but don't expect a Metallica like improvement after that.

Put a little drop dead foam in the back of the area where the ball is sitting to force it to roll forwards.
