Can't wait to see and play mine!
Quoted from docquest:
The ruler show is in inches so you UK/European guy have to convert to one of your freaky units (poppyseed, twip, shaftment, gunters chain, etc) see attached conversion guide.
Minor correction: the "freaky units" are on the left and center of the sheet where "inch" is located. The rational units adorn the right border (mm, cm, dm, m, ...). Just clarifying!
Can someone share or PM me a picture of their SLE Spike board in the backbox? I had to replace mine and now I don't know where to plug in the connector for the headphone jack and volume. Thanks!
I remember when Tron got an update quite a bit after it was released. And Tron is still one of the most amazing pinballs I've enjoyed (then again, I'm biased as a big Tron fan!). So, I'm hopeful he will deliver. Also, the amount of video material available on BM66 is staggering. We're talking 3 seasons worth of episodes and everyone has a favorite moment.
I have Year 1999 from the 30 series. The certificates says that it's one of the 30 and the plaque on the machine shows the Stern logo in addition to the Batman logo.
The Batman 66 show had 3 seasons of material. That's an insane amount of content to chose from. While I can understand the frustration around the slow updates, it's also understandable given that it's a new platform and there is a mountain of great clips to choose from. I wish Lyman took his time and polished this gem to the extreme. There is so much opportunity to make this machine one for the ages! I for one would rather be patient than get a rush job that leaves too much potential on the cutting room floor.
Just a quick PSA: the LEGO shop has the "Batman Classic TV Series – Batcave" at a discounted rate (which is extremely rare for LEGOs)
I bought it as soon as it came out and thought it was a nice set. I plan on having it on a shelf next to my BM66.
V0.83.0 - Nov. 21, 2017
- Added 4 mini-TVs to the LCD display to show effects and scores for
stacked modes. The most recently started mode is shown in the large TV.
Any previous mode occupying the large TV is pushed down to a small TV
from left to right, top to bottom.
- Added a first part for Mr. Freeze mode (episodes 53/54). Shoot 6 blue
(ice) shots to finish. Shoot red shots to turn them blue. Defeating
Mr. Freeze will stop most timed things from counting down (for the rest
of the ball, for now).
- Added a mode for Egghead (episodes 47/48, Egg Fight). All switches
score 250,000 and build a jackpot that can be lit on one of the shots
by using the gadget button. Once the jackpot is lit, the points from
the switches stop adding to the jackpot. The mode ends when time runs
out or when the jackpot is collected.
- Mr. Freeze "frozen" timers for villain escape will allow points to be
added from switches for the duration of the mode instead of terminating
that portion of the scoring when the multiball starts.
- Added minor villain modes to criteria for timed modes, so ADD MORE TIME
from MYSTERY works correctly.
- Reworked Bat Turn award display effect so it doesn't take so long.
Quoted from MattS:
I don't think this is correct unless there are 2 SD cards on the board (not home so I can't check).
When I was at TPF last year, George Gomez gave me (and a few other people) a micro SD with the latest code update on it which I installed when I got home, it wasn't specific to my game.
Here's a picture of my machine which shows a microSD card that says 30-1999.
Loading 0.95 tonight. When I pre-ordered BM66 I had a some trepidation about its code. For a long time there was reason to be concerned. Months would go by without an update. Now it seems this game is on track to be the definitive vision of what pinball can be. I'm in awe of the execution of this masterpiece and can't wait to see the finished product, and, more importantly, to enjoy it for years to come. What a ride!
Someone suggested a while back that on hitting the crane, we should hear the Penguin laugh or make other distinctive Penguin sounds. I thought that was a great detail that should be relatively easy to implement.
