Quoted from jfh:

Guys - there are plenty of threads to talk about what games Stern might do. It's not even marginally related to Batman 66. Can we please try and keep the Batman club thread free of such way off topic discussion?
Batman would probably remind Robin that such discussion is out of place -
"A Stern reminder Robin - It it is imperative we keep our thoughts pure and focus on protecting the good citizens Gotham City from distracting banter designed to clutter their minds."
"Holy Yellow Submarine Batman! I can't believe I was so inconsiderate !!"
"That's quite all right old chum - acknowledging you were inconsiderate shows how considerate you are!"

Normally I would agree, but a little positive discussion about the next Kapow (which is kind of related to BM66) is a lot better than all the negative chat about code, which is really the only discussion point at the moment.

Having said that, did you manage to get to that convenstion docquest? Did they have the Batmobile, Batboat, Batcopter and Bat Cycle all there? photos of those would be pretty cool!

Quoted from docquest:

I was going to buy the Stern topper batsignal but have decided not to based on reading this type of feedback from you and others. I think I'm gonna try one of these and see how it looks:
amazon.com link ยป
Its only $17, 5" tall die cast metal, has a full 360 swivel plus up/down tilt. I'll try and modify the lens to be the TV style and see how it looks.

Did this turn out ok? Amazon listing makes it sound like it's only a hardback book.

Hade a good time at the Terrificon today. Lots of cool bat-stuff on display. Got to meet Burt Ward again and talk about his Batman66 SLE. He loves his game but has a problem with the crane and is wating for the service guy to fix it.

Here a pic of him signing the Robin cards a few pinsiders asked me to get signed.

They had the batboat, batcyle sidecar, batmobile and batcopter. The batcopter and the batcycle side car were the original ones from the show the others were replicas.

They also had a few catwoman costumes from the 66 movie on display, along with Lee Meriweather herself.

now so wishing I'd asked you to get a Robin card!!!

that looks like an epic show!

#4057 3 years ago

I met a guy there that made a custpm batcomputer and batsignal on display. After talking a bit it turns out he's a pin head that has restored a few games over the years.

He tells me about his nearly HUO haunted house he got for $250. Seems every pinhead I meet has a story like that except me. LOL.

Since the show was at a casino I had to look for the Batman66 Kapow slot machine. I saw this machine in my travels. The next Stern/Kapow game?

20170820_145051 (resized).jpg

#4059 3 years ago

After a lot of wandering and asking I finally found it. After I took a pic of it I got yelled at. Apparently photos on the casino floor are a big no no.

It was a lot of fun to play. I put $20 in played for abput 20 minutes and walked away with $32.90. I was happy about that. Great comic show for those in the new england area. Will probably go next year too.

Awesome, really appreciate you going to the trouble of getting those cards signed for myself and others, let me be the first to give you a big public shout out and thank you!!

Stay in it long enough and you'll have one of those stories for your very own. My best was a nonfunctional Spiderman Red for $1000 a location called me to unload. Turns out its only problem was a blown transistor. An hour after it was home, it was working fully. Looked factory fresh. Great deal.

You're killing me with yet another super find story. Maybe someday I'll find my diamond in the rough.

I got one for one of your mates maybe you can bargain with him for it!

Listened to your interview with "the podcaster that shall not be named". It was a nice listen on my way tot he comic show this morning. Nice to hear someone stick up for Batman66 for a change since the game usually gets a bad rap.

I loved it enough to make a custom web plastic for the Doc Ock VUK. Eventually traded the machine, but I would not be opposed to having another one in the future. Love the game.

incredible pics!

Glad you like the pics. I wasn't sure if some would think I was cluttering up the thread with non pinball pics but I thought at least a few of you would like to see them.

This show claimed it would be the first show with the batcopter, batmobile, batcycle and batboat all together at once. However the batcyle was not there (just Robins sidecar) so I guess I'll have to look forward to a future show where they are all together.

I talked to the batcopter owner/pilot and he went into great detail about it's history and how he acquired it. I was amazed to hear he actually flies it to/from the shows he has it at. The reason it doesn't have the bat emblem on the front is that it makes it hard to see below when landing and taking off. He said the copter only had that painted on for filming and it was removed later. Also the big bat wings on the side made it less stable aerodynamically so for safety reasons they were removed as well. If he stops flying it and just uses it as a show piece someday he'll probably put that stuff back on.

Your pics/stories are welcome and relevant to the thread - it's Batman 66 !

One of these days I'd like a Batmobile to go with my pinball machine ...

(And thanks for getting Burt to sign cards for some of us - they will be a cool addition to our games!)

#4072 3 years ago

So whats the chance of getting Burt to sign the underside of a playfield?

Quoted from MK6PIN:

If he's anything like his partner (or ex-partner sadly)... you'd have more troubles getting him NOT to sign his name on something

I don't say that in a mean-spirited way... just a fun factoid.

Back to BM66:

I added the Mezel house mod to my machine, but first it got brushed.

Now we really need a new code, because there is no more mod I can add to my sle.

Nice job on the TWD tower also. I had mine painted also but I like yours a little better.

Latest Coast 2 Coast episode Nate's having a candid chat with Josh Sharpe, and asks Josh what his favorite game is right now.....his answer, b66. Just unboxed one, realized it was a work in progress, but was loving it and some good comments about Lyman and code.

Episode 236 56m53s (right at the end after the Danesi interview).

Yeah docquest has been great at sharing the bat love

In all honesty I have been amazed by a lot of Pinsiders that have personally helped me out with things I have needed stateside, stuff off eBay where the seller wouldn't ship outside the US, stuff only sold in the US, times like this where docquest has been able to attend something pretty unique and exclusive, the good will and generosity of Pinsiders and Americans in general amazes me

Pinside has been a wealth of pinball information for me on technical repair help, buying/selling info, new or old game info, show info, and just a great tool to connect with other pinheads.

Sometimes people get carried away or overly passionate about their opinions but overall I still find pinside a very useful resource. I try to ignore the bad stuff and promote the good stuff. So anytime I have the opportunity to help others out I try and make the effort to pay it forward.

Quick question bat friends....on the bottom of my LE playfield, on the left, directly above the drain near "Same Bat Time", I have a 1" metal post. There is also one on the right side, to the right of "Same Bat Channel" that is a clear plastic post with no rubber ring. Two questions...is the metal post on the left supposed to have a plastic and the one on the right, a rubber ring? I hope I'm making sense. Can post pics if needed. Thanks!

Added over 3 years ago: I haven't gotten an answer yet and would really appreciate some help. Thanks!
