Quoted from WeirPinball:Not mine, but set this up for a customer and helped him play a few games to break it in
I'm in! Bought an LE today. Should be here next week. Can't wait!
It's going to be set up next to the TAF you restored for me ...
Quoted from jfh:(And yes, I feel a bit guilty for finding/buying an LE in a day when they have been sold out for months. But my gameroom has been ready for this for years ...)
Nice collection! I am envious.
You should feel guilty about getting one so quick. I pre-ordered mine on day 1 back in august and was paid in full weeks ago. I patiently wait while I watch countless unboxing videos (premiums even). Still no shipping notification.
The best way to make it right would be for you to send me your LE ASAP and I will send you mine when I get in in 2 or 3 months.
BM66 LE #91 in the house tonight (Tampa, FL). It's the "Bat Drone" gadget game. I love it so far. My only initial complaint after just a couple of games is the turntable mechanism turns far too slow. Otherwise, it doesn't seem even remotely like the TDK game from what I recall playing it in the past. Game art, colors, sounds, music, and theme immersion are all awesome. Oh yeah, Batgirl art is on the back box sides....sorry Premium folks. I haven't a clue what I'm doing when I play yet, so maybe I'll have more feedback at some point in the future. I do like the longer shots in this game so far, I just need more patience to slow down and make them (once I know what shot to make). 500 million high so far after 3 games, but I suck as a player, so that's probably not very much. It's easier than Ghostbuster, particularly in the outlane department.

Quoted from MT45:BM66SLe #1996 is in the house! Hour and 40 to get her set up. Box had some extrior damage but I cut a small peep hole in it before uncrating and it appeared (and was) fine. I Still have not played a game as I'm crafting a playfield protector first. Game is (as many others have said) simply STUNNING in person. The foil based decals are over the top. Look at the reflection of my hand in some of the pics. Pics of the unboxing step by step folloow. This is post ONE of TWO
Congrats! Gorgeous! That is straight up pinball porn!

Thats probably the best card i've seen so far, congrats!
I still want to know who is going to get the shark repellent! That would be an amazing gadget to have.

How about the batmobile or the utility belt or batarang. I'm assuming those are possibilities.

The batmobile would be the best. I didn't think about that one. Surley the utility belt isn't one of the gadgets though? It carried the gadgets.
I'd like the bat lab one too.

looks like batmobile is #1 and batarang is #8

That's awesome. Where did you find those photos?

I like the one rocketpin has with the combat with the giant rat the most so far. They've all been cool.
I'm pretty sure the #1 Batmobile was on the game displayed on the Stern tour during Expo. I thought I remembered seeing that. Idk where it went from there though.

Old stern facebook post when thry were still teasing the game.
The artist who drew all the gadgets also posted a collage them on his facebook page a wile ago. This gives you a peek at what other ones to expect. The batsignal would be a cool one to get.

Probably end up in Lyman's house and if he does his magic with the code he deserves to have #1
Question for the SLE owners, how is the pin stripping applied? Guessing it's applied on top of the powder coating and then cleared? Or is it simply applied on top and exposed?
I have a friend who does body work and pin striping so I plan on applying it to the powder and then adding clear if possible so just curious how Stern have done it.
Quoted from J85M:Dark blue would be close to the colour of Batman's cape & cowl
Dark blue for my flippers also.

Amazing !
MK, here is a pic of the Riddler saucer hole with the stuck ball. the ball guide is keeping the ball from resting in the hole properly. you can see where the ball is pushed to the left in the picture. I think I will remove some of the wood at the saucer to help it roll in place.
Damn that guide is clearly installed wrong to far up/towards the saucer, is there no way of bending it back a little instead of altering your playfield?
Are these black rubbers on this game the ones that everyone removes because they're messy? I have some green that I might try since they're on hand.

the metal ball guide forms a "v" at that point. I tried to bend it but not much room. I might put a piece of padding in to keep it from rolling all the way back.
If someone wants a nice poster print by the same artist who did the batman66 pinall art package I'm selling one. Its designed to look like a retro TV guide cover from 1966. All the wrinkles and creases are drawn in the image, the poster itself is nice and flat. Size is 22" x17".

I see now.....mine hasn't stuck there (I'm sure it will tonight, now.....). Think I will take the plastic off tonight and get a closer look at the gap on mine....will report. Thanks for the heads up......mark

Mine has not had a problem either. Here are some pics for reference.
xfassa you have a SLE right? Can you tell me how is the pin stripping applied? Guessing it's applied on top of the powder coating and then cleared? Or is it simply applied on top and exposed?

The Super LE at Expo had the pinstriping just applied on the top of the armor. I noticed it at the time and thought that it would easily come off. I hope they changed the process for the production models.
Quoted from RocketPin:I got it working again.
as you can see in the pic the geometry is wrong.
The main problem was a buildup of clear coat right at the point on the wood.
a little sand paper and "BAM"
SWEET!!!

I asked Stern the exact same question. The support staff said they would give me details upon their return from CES. Honestly, it appears to be a decal applied over the top of the powder coat (w/out clear). Will post more when I find out more.
Awesome, thanks for the reply xfassa, I guess on your SLE the striping has a raised profile if you rub your finger over it? similar to the decal on the lockdown bar of Transformers, those held up pretty well but it seems odd that they would decal the entire lock bar the far left and right get heavy hand traffic.
Quoted from J85M:it seems odd that they would decal the entire lock bar the far left and right get heavy hand traffic.
My exact thoughts. Will wait for Stern to reply before making any decisions.
I have a friend who is going to do genuine pin striping on my LE, I am not all that familiar with powder coating, but I am hoping he can pin strip over the factory powder coat (is the powder coat cleared? or is the powder coat itself the finish?) and then clear it in his body shop, plan of powder coating and pin stripping the speaker panel while I am at it, love the SLE powder coated speaker panel just ties it all together beautifully.
Wow.proud SLE owners!! Just talked to my Distro,my LE will be WEEKS before I get mine,so,count yourselves in the lucky first bunch! Last deal I do with those guys

Put a little drop dead foam in the back of the area where the ball is sitting to force it to roll forwards.

Who's your distributor?

Good suggestion!!
Thanks

My distributor has received all of his LEs already and I think the LEs are complete, or nearly. Per the Aerosmith thread, Stern is cutting to Aerosmith Pros mid-month. Recommend some distributor interrogation to out why yours can't deliver for so long.

I know how you feel. I pre paid for my Pre in October and still don't have mine.
