Was just looking at this ad and was going to post to the thread but its locked....this topper is not the official Stern....hope whoever buys it realizes.

Ya that's definitely a homebrew topper not the ultra rare LE/SLE version. The cool thing about the real Stern topper is that different parts of it are turned on or off depending on whats happening during game play. This is probably just on all the time.

Yes. I have this topper. I love it....next best thing to having the original. I just would call that out in the ad if it were me.

Just picked up a Batman 66 with a December 2021 build date and having a blast with it. I've noticed that the right ramp activates under odd circumstances even though the optos appear aligned. Specifically, bouncing the ball around at the bottom of the right ramp, and the Penguin VUK firing the ball each activate the right ramp opto. In addition, hitting the ramp successfully sometimes counts as multiple successful shots instead of just the one.
I've gently cleaned the optos with mixed success. What's next? Is it time to reflow the solder? Order new optos?

The newer b66 spike boards dont have the headphone jack. Older b66 and aerosmith have them but then stern decided to save 50 cents and cut out the jack from the board. Is your b66 a newer model?

Review the feature matrix for Batman 66, the "Headphone jack and volume control on coin door" was included in the SLE model only. Nothing was removed to save $.50... The headphone kit is an accessory available for purchase for any model Spike 2 game.
These would be a cool elements for a custom topper…

Attention all Catwoman owners ... I just printed another small (most likely final) batch if there is anyone else out there who would like one... these are reverse printed on laser-cut acrylic and look much more appropriate on the Catwoman pin than the Stern supplied badge. Can you guys regularly backhand the left ramp? I just don’t quite have enough oomph to get it all the way up the ramp. Swapped out coil stops and sleeves but still doesn’t quite make it. Power is turned all the way up and flipper is centered on dot. Both flippers are centered with the dot but it does appear the right flipper travels a little higher when fully engaged. Maybe try adjusting the left flipper up a little bit, but don’t want to ruin other shots chasing a backhand for the left ramp.

The only time I've ever backhanded that shot is by accident.
No way it can be done from a dead stop, IMHO.

Since I've had the machine (and probably 1000+ plays) I've done it once from a cradle. In one of the deadflip videos Lyman was doing it with regularity on that particular machine but he and Jack pretty much said it wasn't a shot that was really repeatable with a typically setup machine.
Honestly, I almost never try it at this point - it was clear on my machine it wasn't meant to be.

After I fail Bookworm I go for Mad Hatter and then start Bookworm again.

Yeah I do the same, but I specifically go for second season MH. Then if I complete MH, I'll go for a season three King Tut, and if completed, then go back to Bookworm so all previous progress would have been saved, making it easier to complete and then getting to the wizard modes at the same time.
