Pretty quiet in here lately - We need some something to talk about - new code, new yelobird Mod of something that I didnt know I needed but now want desperately or a least a graph showing longest time between posts.

Its amazing how active this owners thread has been. I think it has one of the highest post counts of any owners thread. Some would say its because until recent code updates, it was more fun posting on Pinside about b66 than playing it.
Now everyone's playing instead of posting!
Quoted from 82Trooper:any idea when the next code update is expected? That will generate some more excitement!!
Initially was supposed to be now, but I believe it got pushed off to early Jan.
Quoted from PinMonk:Initially was supposed to be now, but I believe it got pushed off to early Jan.
really? did someone post that here?
We got a little spoiled recently since the last 4 updates were at 2 week intervals. I was hoping we might get one this week since its been 2 weeks since the last one.
We are all used to waiting though so the next one will come out when its ready.
Quoted from Pinfactory2000:really? did someone post that here?

Actual wording is "around the new year" which, to me, says January.

Ok here's something.
We had a Superheros Christmas Party last week .....so I had to go as Batman
Snapped a pic in front of the pin before I went.

I suspect the next big topics will be the revised left ramp mod (soon, I hope) and the new code (which I expect to see in the next two weeks).

Ah ok. I didn’t know that announcement was a revision of an earlier one.

As I do, as well...ready to install the final product (bumped Matt tonight). The killer chrome lockdown bar emblem will be worth the wait as well.....
Side note....had my employee Christmas party tonight at the house.....it was amazing how everyone gravitated to Batman.....wasn't even close....

Welcome to the best club on Pinside!
Sunday? Getting some help from Santa to set it up?
Trying to get a feel for how many Batman 66 pins are out there.
If you have a build date or serial number higher or lower than these, post it. I'm guessing some SLE owners have lower numbers.
Lowest known serial: 264512
Highest known serial: 267181
(2670 games?)
Earliest known build date: 12/21/16 (though there seem to be some built in November 2016)
Latest known build date:

First off thank you for the kind words but I Seriously had no motives to solicit votes or any recognition. Purely an attempt to bring Batman 66 the recognition it Does deserve! Mods or not it’s hard to deny Stern nailed this game out of the park. From topper to art this title is one of their best achievements hands down in my opinion. They clearly did some research and avoided skimping on detail where it really counts. I So wish LOTR or similar great titles had the non pixelated art Batman showcases. Doc needs to modify his Bat projector to do the eye of Saromon on the ceiling! Thanks again to All for your support in helping us enjoy, fine tune, and modify this truly amazing title as well as supporting our add in creations. Your appreciation is all the award we need. Have a Wonderful holiday to All and don’t forget to light the Bat signal or Batphone those you love this holiday season especially those in the military affording is the freedom to have such wonderful gifts. My Mod Family are spending the holiday in Norfolk VA to solute my son and our second to none Navy. Blessings to all!!!
The Mod Couple!

Well said....I couldn’t agree more! This game has really turned into the proper anniversary flagship that we were all hoping it’d be. Big thanks to stern, the mod-makers, and the rest of those on this thread...it’s really made the game experience complete. And special thanks, Dave, to your son and the rest of the military. Happy holidays!

Hooyah! Go Navy

Funny you mention that. A fellow pinsider bought my batsignal projector mod even though he doesn't have a Batman66 yet. So while he waits to get his Batman game he asked if I could make a Game of Thrones themed slide to project with the signal mod. So I made this for him.

OMG ... Doc that’s amazing!
Ok I jumped in my truck at 12:30 am this morning and drove 450 miles to meet a fellow pinsider who hauled this Batman LE game #66 just north of Sacramento for me and shaved 9 hours off my trip. Big thanks to Joe & Dan for helping me make this happen. I did not want to let those ham fisted NAVL guys tear this game up.
I just got home 900 miles later safe and sound. Here is a pic of me with Batman LE in the truck and Mt Shasta behind me, I will post pics after I take a nap and get her unwrapped

Congratulations, once you have it setup the trip will feel completely worth it especially with LE number #66 that’s awesome! enjoy!
Beautiful view btw, I love the open areas of the US some truly beautiful sights.
The entire turntable needs to be modded. Atomic Pile mod, new phone, better Batmobile, better spinner. What a difference!
Here's what Stern gave us.
Look at the difference with the stock spinner (with the flat black Batmobile with the trademark symbol on the door) and The Mod Couple spinner kit using a much better Batmobile).
And multiple options for replacing the phone

Which replacement batmobile have you used on the spinner?

Congrats - great number number 66 of Batman 66. Episode or gadget?
A friend of mine who lived in San Francisco a couple of years back used to boast to me about climbing Mt Shasta- was trying to get me over to climb it. Looks pretty imposing. Kind of looks like Kilimanjaro the way it just rises out of nowhere.
Quoted from cooked71:Which replacement batmobile have you used on the spinner?
This one. Glossy black, no TM on the door, the top piece holding the siren is black, not clear. Really the only thing missing are the Bat symbols on the wheels.

Oh wow. I picked up the atomic pile, but the batmobile and the phone/bust look really great on the turntable. Great pictures. May have to invest in that.
Is the phone/bust from the Mod Couple?

I got another too.... everything is very personal and I know this one with the wheels and lots of black on top including windshield is very different but I think looks tougher than Stern’s and also I like the thicker red trims around

Do we know if the serial numbers go up by 1 as each game is built? 2,615 games seems high for Batman66.
Quoted from docquest:Mine was built on 12/21/16 as well.

I'm fairly certain numbers go up by 1. What I don't know is whether the numbers are split between whatever's on the line (clustered) or if each game has its own block of numbers. I thought there was a discussion of how Stern did serial numbers a while back, but couldn't find it.
Looking at IPSND, it appears there may be multiple clusters by SLE/LE/Premium. If they are clusters, then the total number built (based on very limited data) is far less than 2615. IPSND estimates 520 Premiums based on reported numbers and we know there are 320 SLE/LEs, so that's 840. But there is so little data there it's probably not practical to extrapolate. But it's fun to try.
Quoted from Concretehardt:Wow! I had never seen a an LE in person and I have to say this game is absolutely beautiful! When I unwrapped it I was like Daaang that looks nice! Also the game has a petG playfield protector on it and the playfield looks like piece of glass.
I see that you started to put nice mods already, it looks Amazing! Congratulations!

I can’t take credit for any of the mods, they were all done by piperpinball. The BatCopter has a motor on it and the blades spin when the turn table spins, I need to try to figure out how to fit the atomic pile mod on the game, I may have the move the BatCopter. I have no idea how The PP got the mini TV mounted at the end of the crane, must have been a real PITA!

Piperpinball was doing some pretty cool mod stuff.
I'm sure it has been talked about, but I am newer to the community. Curious how many use playfield protectors? Are they worth it and which would you recommend?

I have protectors on both my machines. Highly recommend them. They keep your playfield like new. Wax them and they play like lightening. https://www.playfield-protectors.com are the best IMO.
