The Joker shot is getting stuck behind this piece of metal. When the ball hits this target, it pushes the target back and causes it to get stuck (see pictures - one pic shows how it's supposed to look, and the other shows the target stuck behind the piece of metal). It's easy to fix (remove the glass and unwedge it), but it requires taking the glass off for basically every game.

Any advice on a longer term solution?

I posted the same topic on Facebook and got a fix. If you unscrew it (2 screws) from the bottom, it gives some play on the target. Hold the target to the left as you screw the 2 screws back in. Mine has played great the couple games I've played since.
