Quoted from bayoubilly70:

I really hope the figures on the poster don't represent the artwork on the game
What I mean take some Carmine Infantino artwork, Alex Ross (see his Batman '66 covers) or even photoshopped from Batman '66 movie.

I agree. I'd hardly consider the images on the flyer "iconic art package".

Season 2 The Joker's Hard Times episode.

#952 4 years ago

Does anyone know if BM66 will be on the Sam or Spike system?

#955 4 years ago

Thanks for the info. So LCD upgrades on older titles will probably never happen?

#1009 4 years ago

Saw these today at the Air Show here in Cleveland. Maybe these will somehow find there way into the new machine.

Quoted from lllvjr:

I heard only the Sle will come with a topper

I'm calling BS on this. Have they ever done that before? Some people don't like them but toppers are big sellers for Stern. No way they would miss that opportunity. Maybe the SLE will have some mega special topper. I keep picturing some sort of topper incorporating the Bat signal.

#1041 4 years ago
Quoted from kermit24:

Stern is clearly testing different ways to hype up a game. No PR announcement on IGN, just a flyer on pinside. It's clear the market they are going after...for this game anyway... it's us on Pinside.

Then Stern should know that no one here wants shitty playfields at premium prices!

#1088 4 years ago
Quoted from DaveH:

I am finally going to declare JJP a full fledged manufacturer. People that have said Stern has nothing to worry about are wrong. The last 3 pages of this Stern announcement have turned into much more of a discussion about JJP.

Yeah but the previous 19 pages are all Stern. Only reason JJP is being mentioned now is because we've beat the BM66 speculation to death. Major props to JJP for being one of the few to carry the pinball torch but they have one hell of a mountain to climb if they're even gonna be a splinter in Stern's side. Who the hell wants to wait 2+ years for a game? Meantime Stern cranks out several licenses that people connect with more and end up cancelling their JJP order. When/if the bubble finally bursts Stern will still be the only one left.

#1144 4 years ago
Quoted from Pinstein:

I hope the cool atomic generator from the batcave makes its way to the playfield as a toy or even just a static figure. Also I hope the ramps are plastic as they would seem more suiting to the era like the bubble domes on the batmobile.

Theres so many possibilities with this machine as far as toys and props. I hope Stern doesn't save all its bling for the LEs.

#1148 4 years ago

Wow I'd love to see some pics Mojo. I think the modders are gonna have a field day on this one. The Bat labels near the flipper and start buttons would be classic.

#1154 4 years ago

I'm barely gonna be able to swing a Pre. I hope it's not too stripped down.

#1212 4 years ago

I just noticed there's a poll at the top for hottest catwoman. Sorry but I can't participate in such poll without Julie Newmar as a choice. And what about Michelle Pfeiffer?

#1262 4 years ago
Quoted from Methos:

Can we get less talking and more pics of girls from Batman?

Always thought Linda Gaye Scott was hot!

Quoted from kpg:

Unconfirmed rumor from a friend that this is one of the backglass / translites

Not sure about the staging but the artwork is fantastic. Colored wireforms? Wouldn't the balls scratch the paint off?

#1308 4 years ago
Quoted from docquest:

If Stern contracts out an artist to do the back glass, the obvious choice would be Chris Franchi. He did the cover for the new animated 66 film coming out next month and has done a lot of other batman stuff for posters, models, advertising, etc.

Couldn't agree more. I have this one hanging in my home and always get compliments on it.

Quoted from bushz:

Nice poster, where did you find this one? I can't find it anywhere.

Through his FB page. He only does limited runs and I'm pretty sure they're all gone. This was a few years ago I think.

#1332 4 years ago
Quoted from bayoubilly70:

I tried suggesting this at the beginning of this thread:
given the amount of downvotes, its seems like folks are not into this... but I still am

Maybe it was the photoshop comment that got all the downvotes. The other artists you mentioned would be perfect IMO.

Just spotted Cesar Romero at a Disney restaurant!

Seems they are not deleting anymore and responding to many of them...

A couple weeks ago I made a complimentary comment about how much I was enjoying KISS "aside from incomplete code." Comment deleted and I was blocked.

#1535 4 years ago

Check out their response to Taylor's question. In other words.....NO! Lmao!!!

#1545 4 years ago
Quoted from flynnibus:

They are right tho... this type of item is not about being the best game.. it's about a special commemoration piece.

Certainly hope Stern doesn't actually believe this. No one wants to drop this much cash on a half assed coded game that just happens to look really cool.

#1665 4 years ago

Definitely think Stern is biting off way more than they can chew. Hence the "screw it it's good enough attitude."

#1749 4 years ago

These prices were kinda what I was expecting. It's kinda sad to see that such a small percentage of a very niche community will be able to buy new pins anymore. Just think how many great older titles you could buy with that cash. This is a dream title for me so I'm in. But for sure this will be my last nib purchase from Stern.

#1755 4 years ago
Quoted from BoJo:

If I had a dollar for every time I heard that I could buy a super LE

So true. I'd love to know the actual markup on these things. Does it really cost almost $10k to make one of these?

#1847 4 years ago
Quoted from Blackjacker:

Of course!
Seems a good time to remind everyone that Stern's Chief Revenue Officer formerly was a VP at Topps, where he made a living selling cardboard.
Topps used to sell plain ol' cards. Then they moved on to numbered cards, and one-of-a-kind cards with pieces of game-used items embedded in them.

Yep. And where's the trading card business these days?

#1998 4 years ago

Call me foolish but I'm really interested in the multiple translites. But I think it's a SLE only thing.

#2050 4 years ago

For those of us that are gonna buy one of these there is a positive. It could have been released next year or later. We're saving money!!

#2468 4 years ago
Quoted from docquest:

Very nice!
Thats chris franchi's artwork. You can find him on facebook as metaluna 5.
He is the definitive artist for classic batman stuff. I was planning on using his stuff for the translite on my batman 66 retheme.

This is EXACTLY what I was wanting for this pin!! Nice to also see Burgess Meredith as he is missing on the slots.

Franchi's art is so well done it could be mistaken for stock library images. He usually paints from more common pictures of his subjects.

#3375 4 years ago
Quoted from dmbjunky:

I don't think that's true. Anyone can buy a replica today.
When you buy one, I want a ride.

And these guys too.

#3573 4 years ago
Quoted from dgarrett:

A week until Expo - given the recent posts contents - it can't get here soon enough.
These just arrived today. Holy return from oblivion Batman

Lol! Have you picked up the Hot Toys figures yet? They're amazing.

#3577 4 years ago
Quoted from dgarrett: has these, but seem to be high priced. Are there better prices elsewhere?

Bigbadtoystore has good prices but not sure if they have any left.

#4063 4 years ago

I'm guessing no pics of the SLE will be allowed during the tour?

#4135 4 years ago

Machine looks amazing!!! Kinda disappointed on how stripped down the Pre version is. Not crazy about Batgirl taking up so much space on the backbox. Really hope Stern sells those toppers for the Pre.

#4232 4 years ago

Can someone confirm but I am NOT seeing the LCD tv on the PRE version. If they took that off the PRE I'm gonna be seriously pissed.

#4553 4 years ago

Anyone at the expo actually play a BM66? Are these machines even playable yet?

#4719 4 years ago
Quoted from docquest:

Who said that? Im pretty sure at expo George said they would make as many premiums as dictated by demand.

I had a GB/PRe paid for when this came up,and I was given the opportunity to switch my money and own a B66LE instead!I'm a retired bum,on SS,with a 3Mill.stock portfolio I worked 30 years dam hard for!! The dividends i receive, allow me to buy a new pin every year if I want, cause I earned the right!! Many other of us have also come this way!

#4948 4 years ago

I love the side armor on the SLE. I really hope someone makes similar armor for the Premiums and LEs.

#4953 4 years ago
Quoted from frolic:

I thought the LE and SLE had the same armor? with the webbing and flake powdercoat?

You're right. Only the Pre has no side armor.

1 week later
#5306 4 years ago

Hopefully you SLE owners can give the rest of us some insight on how the Hot Wheels cars are secured to the playfield. It looks like the Batmobile and Batboat are on a plastic platform? I got my set ready for my Premium.

Thanks for the info!

Just realized it has been an entire month since Stern revealed this at the party. Where the hell is the gameplay video by now???

#5692 4 years ago

No Batman, GOT or KISS? Wtf?

#5694 4 years ago
Quoted from Pimp77:

Why bring your turds when you've got MET, TWD, GB, and SMVE?

True. But you'd think they would want to showcase their most current lineup. 3 GBs really?

#5782 4 years ago

Wow you had the nerve to ask that several times and didn't get banned from their FB page? What's your secret?

#5790 4 years ago

#5800 4 years ago
Quoted from Fishbeadtwo:

Rumor mill says there was a Batman66 set up in Gary's room at IAAPA...

Along with completed "attract mode" code.

#5820 4 years ago
Quoted from docquest:

There's also a big 256 page hardcover book coming out next week all about the 66 batman show. Looks like it will have a lot of good stuff in it. If you use the code "holidaybook" at amazon you get an extra $10 off. link ยป

Had this book preordered for what seems eternity. Can't wait to finally get it!

#5840 4 years ago
Quoted from guyincognito:

I understand you old farts and the nostalgia factor, but was this Batman TV show even any good?
I remember flipping past the daytime re-runs and thinking that Batman looked a little bit, how you would say, "light in the loafers" and that a strong breeze would probably knock him over.

In the 70's this show was in heavy syndication. As a kid this show was the COOLEST thing on tv. Until the 80's there was no other live action Batman program to watch. The colors, villains and Batman & Robin taking off in that kick ass Batmobile was the s**t! Years later when I was an adult I got a whole new appreciation for the show's adult comedic campiness that was lost to me as a kid. Some of those lines still have me laughing out loud. Everyone has something special like this from their childhood that means a lot to them. For many of us this show is it. BM66 is the icing on the cake for us. It's the two best things from our childhood and adulthood rolled into one. Regardless of your age I hope everyone gets their dream theme made eventually. It's a pretty awesome feeling.

#5917 4 years ago
Quoted from Pinstein:

Im sure Im in the minority but I think the premium looks better than the LE.

This may be true but damn I want that SLE/LE topper.

#5933 4 years ago
Quoted from Banker:

Paid in full my LE this morning, they are still saying shipping 12/15. Hope so!

Aren't they making the SLEs and LEs first followed by the Premiums? I still don't see the majority of people getting theirs by year's end.

#5963 4 years ago

There's no mention on the Pre flyer of a signed card by Adam. I thought the first 180 Pre were gonna be signed?

#6108 3 years ago
Quoted from Whysnow:

I heard he joked about stuff. Did Ed actually talk badly about Stern and all their shenanigans?

#6220 3 years ago

I completely agree about the flap covering Catwoman's head should be fixed. But modifying it or cutting a new smaller one couldn't be that difficult.

#6258 3 years ago
Quoted from robotron:

off course they are. this is pinball. 90 percent think they are not gonna lose a dime on this and the value of the game will even go up

This is shocking if true. Even a pin with less than 100 plays is one thing....USED! I'd never expect to get back what I paid selling a used game. And I sure as hell am not gonna pay full price for a used game no matter how rare it's perceived to be.

#6277 3 years ago

I really wanted to get in on that 30 years Stern book but the whole kickstarter idea kinda left a sour taste in my mouth. Not to mention all the other crap Stern has been pulling the last year. The least they can do is show some damn gameplay at this point.

#6418 3 years ago
Quoted from Trekkie1978:

I'm in on the LE and I'm very excited to get it.

Congrats man! I so wanted an LE but just couldn't swing the price. Premium for me.

#6437 3 years ago
Quoted from JimB:

And if you don't lock in the 2016 price any new orders go up. Nice trick.

Really?!! Stern's price increase takes place next year for sure? Anyone have an idea of how much more per pin?

#6505 3 years ago
Quoted from Trekkie1978:

Is there any place to buy that plastic protector for the inside of the machine?

Which protector??

#6545 3 years ago

I had my premium paid in full the middle of October. I want mine too!!!

#6611 3 years ago
Quoted from John1210:

I appreciate if you put the money into this pin that you may be overlooking that it's a bdk make over but that's what it is guys.

Never owned BDK so dont really care if it's a retheme.

#6638 3 years ago

Not sure what to make of this. BM66 Pre purchases will be delivered before year's end? Seems unlikely.

sternxmas (resized).jpg

#6674 3 years ago

Definitely an LE. Maybe the owner didn't get a chance to install the topper yet.

#6699 3 years ago

#6701 3 years ago
Quoted from Fishbeadtwo:

Looking for Bat66 mods while I wait for our game. Looking hard at the plastic protectors from Little Shop of Games. Any others I should know about?

I picked up the plastic protectors and bat signal mod from Little Shop. Very nicely done and highly recommended.

#6711 3 years ago

Hot damn this is what I've been waiting for! Thank you!!

#6865 3 years ago
Quoted from xfassa:

Hmmmmm......who can find the difference between the Batmobiles? One is from Stern and one came with my Batman TV Blu-ray discs. I am thinking something got busted off at the factory......

Maybe Stern got a price break for Batmobiles with broken radar antennas. I'd use the one from your Blu Ray set. Looks much better.

#6867 3 years ago
Quoted from JY64:

Comparing Stern to Dutch,Highway,JJP is like comparing the New England Patriots to the Cleveland Browns

Hey now...if we beat Pittsburgh this week the Browns will be on a winning streak.
