Quoted from badbilly27:

Stern will also be offering extra chances to get a SLE in the form of raffle tickets. You can buy them for $300 each (30 years x 10), limited to 30 (30 years), available to the top 30 people (30 years) they select who come to the Expo party dressed as their favorite Batman 66 character. You will still have to pay for your SLE if selected.

Whomever at Stern came up with that idea deserves a punch in the face.

Quoted from pinmister:

What I don't get is Gary is always stating that the pinball industry would not be successful without operators and having pinballs on locations. So why would you not want to offer a reasonably priced pro machine that is built to stand up in a commercial environment to commemorate the operators that supported you for 30 years? Quite wasting time with building the Pin and the super boutique games and just serve the basic bread and butter that has kept Stern in business.

Does anyone really place much stock in what he says?

Quoted from toyotaboy:

Whether you can afford something or not, even well off people hate losing money.

Most well off people expect to lose money when selling a toy.

Though, most well off people I know don't sell their toys. Their collection just keeps growing whether it be pinball or automobiles.

I like the art package, but is the game the same BDK that most don't care for outside of the crane?

I am looking forward to seeing how this competes with the new Lawlor game.

I believe one will blow the other out of the water.

It's amazing to me how much nicer the SLE looks as compared to the other two.

I guess you get what you pay for?

Quoted from kpg:

Another vote for Automated here.. although i just bought a NIB MMR and went to them first, and Game Room Guys still gave me a better price though or else I would have bought from them again.

He always seems to have the best number on JJP.

Quoted from Trekkie1978:

I can't imagine Stern customizing LEs. Just not practical on an assembly line.

At these prices, Stern could serve high tea on the assembly line and not miss a beat.
