Yeah I suspect Stern probably just figured this would be a "fun" thing to try. I doubt if they deliberately set out to antagonize people.
They're probably scratching their heads about it right now " How did we get everybody so PO'ed about this"??

I think this sums it up nicely. People already were not happy with the price hikes and the "minimum sales price" for the distros (preventing price competition that benefits the consumer) and now this.
Now if the next title returns to current prices... say $6700 for a Premium (which is hardly a bargain) then people will get over it.
If it ends up higher I hope they know what they are doing... people already are having a hard time justifying this kind of cash on something they know they'll probably be getting tired of in a couple months.

Such fantastic actors they managed to get for the bad guys in every episode of the original Columbo. The lack of good actors to put against Peter Falk when they tried a reboot in the 80's (or 90's?) really killed it.
I mean "Norm" from Cheers? Really? Somebody thought THAT was a good idea? Ouch.

I'd increase the pitch on that game. For a Stern it seems like it's playing in slow motion. Do most of you guys set your games to play that slow?

Look at the clip art purple penguin they put on the crane to make it "fit" the theme. Love the toy but why not put the grinning Penguin himself on with a sticker? This just looks too forced and half assed at the same time.
I'd have to peel that off day one
Others will undoubtedly love it.
