I didn't know she was in Star Trek...

Quoted from Meegis:

He may. And all the power to him. Just seems odd he would state it non-refundable and then says he'd ask for it back.

That's not go on about this, you've misquoted and got it wrong, answer my pm please. Take it offline.

Bottom line - it's between you and your distributor, mileage may vary, but I see it as consistent, and don't interpret Stern nor distributors trying to be deceptive. I don't understand all the angst and concerns.

Yep, she made the rounds. Twilite Zone, F-Troop, Get Smart, Bewitched and more...

Good lord, even Jethro got to get some Neymar love at the concrete pond.

I love her.

Yep. She also hit the big screen. She played a feisty squaw with Gregory Peck in MacKenna's Gold.

A movie well worth watching even without her swimming scene.

I'm starting to realize why this game is going to cost so much money.

Pinball has never seen the likes of her before.

But I want to do it all.
And I want to do it now.

Can someone confirm that these sessions will be officially recorded?
I get there are rules for the public in attendance, but this particular expo seems huge. Newmar huge.

#3511 3 years ago

yes, it does seem huge, indeed

Quoted from MK6PIN:

You might check where that is, or have your distributor on speed dial on Friday.

I never heard of a will call at Expo and Expo can be chaotic.

Always liked that movie. It has a great plot, but the lack of special effect capabilities gave it kind of a whacky feel at the end. I'm a big western buff, and I always like the movies with the odd plots. Now I have another reason to go back and watch it again.

Mainly pointing out Sterns KISS and GOT PREM/LE issues and creating fixes for them, where they just rewrote code to fix hardware issues. Ritchie himself knows my pinside handle and wasn't happy I had to fix issues with his machines. Thanks for the loaner but they canceled the Stern After party here in Afghanistan, I will catch the next one in a year or so.

#3524 3 years ago

Hey-Cap gun trooper....if no one told you recently...thank you for your airborne service.
I was in the 82nd Airborne...from '84 to '88...when the Russians were about the only bad guys.
Keep your eyes open, your head down and come home and play pinball as soon as you can!

WILCO! And thank you for you for your service sir. Will be getting in some quality time with the wife first. So don't be thinking I got a BMLE cause ya hear "WHAM", "BOOM", "POW". Thats just all the furniture and bed getting abused....he he!

Hey Mark, Don't let the typing on the internet get to you. My dist also said it's just a list of names.

Thanks....my previous reply never got posted for some reason:

a) I reached out to my distributer today, and he reconfirmed the " will call" list
b) He also stated machine would be at the meet and greet
c) Then reminded me to contact him after I saw it, to let him know if I wanted it or not. We would either stay the course, or he would refund my deposit. I'll be happy to share my thoughts to those that care ( and can't be there) after I see ( and hopefully play) it, but it would be just my personal take from an average ( at best) player, and fan of pinball, period.
d) Said there was a waiting list for the LE's , so all is good.

Hard to believe the deposits were simply to fund the meet and greet. This machine is expensive, and maybe they wanted to verify concept ( like the Alien deposit approach).

I'd like to think that Stern is capable of making an awesome machine, and this 30th Anniversery thing is a chance to prove it. Guess we'll see.

I do feel very comfortable with my position on this title in regards to the deposit.....fwiw....

Deposits were definitely to fund the meet and greet. Adam West charges between 20k and 30k to attend a show(there is a website that tracks what stars charge for appearances). Stern has to get the money from somewhere to play him/his agent.

The post states you recieve a wrist band and a time slot after you check in. Doesn't say anythig about a photo or autograph so I hope they are still doing that. If there is a machine there it would be cool to get a pic of adam and yourself next to the machine and get it signed.

Adam West looks like he's found the fountain of youth. The batsuit still fits.

Well, Facebook ban of course, but if you asked if Capguntrooper could join the party the answer would be "NO!!!" They are just glad I didn't buy a GB or have a pre order for a BMLE. Chas and my DISTRO have my number memorized, it got to the point where I emailed support direct and CC'd my DISTRO and I had my warranty stuff taken care of. Not like I could go anyway, too busy at my dating service job here in Afghanistan. Can ya believe I have successfully arranged dozens of meetings and not one complaint.

Is that better? I didn't mean to offend you, as a matter of fact I am offended with myself for offending you while making the world a safer place.......said no service member......EVER!

Just to keep things real, service members have been playing pinball and winning wars since pinball inception.

Said the guy who travels for a living. ooooooooooooo-k, I travel to places no one wants to go to including yourself, in order to keep family and friends safe back home playing pinball. Hey, since you travel for a living, stop on over, oh wait.......you can't, your warrior skills stop at the keyboard. Don't worry dude I got your pack, I will just stuff it in my cargo pocket on my next mission. Keep on flippin.
