What is Ka-Pow pinball?
from a google looks like they make shitty small home tabletop pinball games

The knockout blows Stern keeps delivering to the competition?*
*bar playfield issues
Quoted from pmWolf:
....still holding out for Kevin Conroy version.
Meanwhile, back at the wrench...
Something tells me this is not an "all new game" lol, considering all of the same guys who made tdk are listed. Oh well cool Idea even though I much prefer the recent batman and the 66 theme does nothing for me. The 2 lcds do sound interesting, Im assuming the second is a small one on the pf like the hobbits book or something. No pro machine? No confirmation of fixed inserts? No thanks...
Doesn't it make sense for no pro if this a retheme or very close to a retheme since bdk only has one model?
Quoted from TomGWI:
I'm still waiting for kiss code. That was like five games ago.
Some are still waiting for Wheel of Fortune code. And that was like a century ago.
It sounds like a Vault Edition but they are trying to avoid the same pricing backlash that happened with SMVE. I think it's working too. No one's complaining about price just that there's no pro.
Quoted from Frax:
I'm sure ops will be just LINING UP to put 8k+ games on route, which is what this is sounding like.
They are gonna price OPs out and inadvertently kill location pinball if this is the future price structure
Quoted from dmbjunky:
No one's complaining about price
Wait until we actually know what the price is.
Actually, kind of OK that there is not a pro, but wish it was "ALL NEW" instead of Gomez BTDK redux.

After I read this, I realized they probably just brought Kaminkow in for his ability to get the license because he made a casino machine with the license already.

I can't speak for others. I ordered a LE.

If it's a VE (like SM) than I'll gladly pass. I suspect you are 100% correct, only can hope they do a Tron down the road because I would like a 'better/slightly different' version.
Take my money.
We are hoping to have prices soon. As soon as Stern lets us know we will pass this information along.
I find it interesting Stern's past two releases are joint efforts- the Pabst partnership and now Ka-Pow Pinball. Could it be that they are also transitioning to manufacturing for other companies so they have less upfront capital risk when releasing a new theme? Kind of how their deal with PPS for MMr is working?
Quoted from Flato:

Well it says it's re-designed...how much is actually going to be there whom knows. I mean if it was a stright re-theme they couldn't make a stripped down further pro and make people pay 1500 for that horrible bridge teeter-totter. That game deosn;t have much going for it to warrent a premium/Le
Quoted from dmbjunky:

My guess is there's going to be a shitload of bitching when they announce it...but I've been wrong a few times.
Quoted from BowlingJim:
10 k by Christmas is gonna sound cheap.

That might be pretty cool if they entered the boutique market. Then all of us with the money and connections can get a pin based on any property we wanted made in a limited amount.
I ordered an LE.
I think it's a smart move by Stern. The Venn diagram of "Batman 66 enthusiasts who have $$$" and "Guys who collect pinball machines" has enough overlap to enthusiastically absorb a few hundred machines.
Pinball and 1966 Batman are like my 2 main hobbies/pastimes/interests.
Sounds just like a BDK VE. Lyman/Gomez were on the original.
Trying hard not to be cynical but...dressing up a VE up as something new..... pro being replaced by premium as an excuse to bump the price again.....Super LE "by invitation only"(!!!!! WTF?).......
You'd want to love batman.

Shame for trying to do the best I can for my customers ?

Quoted from Mudflaps:
Lyman had code on BDK. Not his best work, but he was new.
huh? Lyman had been programming pinballs since 1994.

It's getting pretty crazy when people are pre-ordering and sending in deposits and they don't even know what it will cost yet.
Quoted from TheLaw:
Naw they'll probably use the newer Christopher Nolan artwork for Batman 66
EDIT: Man I wish there was a "Buffalo 66" version
What I mean take some Carmine Infantino artwork, Alex Ross (see his Batman '66 covers) or even photoshopped from Batman '66 movie. Why would they use images of Nolan on the artwork of Batman '66? Silly!

I was just referring to what this thread is gonna be like. I can imagine people preordering LEs because of the low quantity.

And why the Green Hornet and Kato?

The economy is BOOMING...apparently. And what about the clear coat insert ghosting dilemma?
Sort of feels like Stern is just pissing on fans at this point. They have HIGHLY questionable QA going on and they want you to start putting deposits down on games going forward? Oh, and they are going to invite some people to buy a game? So they'll reach out to you when they want you to buy something, but they can't bother to talk to you like a human if you have an issue with their products?
Total joke of a company right now.

Who's this Christopher Nolan comic artist you speak of? The art for the Batman'66 comic was done by many artists and none of them were Christopher Nolan.

Wonder who the lucky 30 are?

It was just an example... I don't mean that exact picture.

I mean images of him... clearly

There are 2 BDK's. There's the "cheap" "Standard Edition" that was made for Costco.
Holy crap Batman!! Best marketing ever: " All new game design, while retaining the popular crane toy".
Quoted from bayoubilly70:

Nope still confused. Was there a pic of Christopher Nolan on the flyer?
