Sounds pricey

All new game design retaining the crane toy from Batman Dark Knight. lol

#5 7 years ago

Holy Sheats, Batman! Lyman has the code.

I really hope the figures on the poster don't represent the artwork on the game

What I mean take some Carmine Infantino artwork, Alex Ross (see his Batman '66 covers) or even photoshopped from Batman '66 movie.

Man, only a Prem, LE, and SLE (I'm coining that term now). I was hoping for a Super Ultra Platinum Limited Edition.

Thats what I was thinking. All new layout using the same old layout?

30 "Super LE," purchase by invite only? Will it be $10K? Will anyone turn it down? Have they done this kind of "Super LE" before?

Huge selling factor! Wow! I can't wait to see more about this game. I bet the LE's presale out pretty darn fast.

I wonder how they select the people who get the 30 super LEs?

#10 7 years ago

It's cool to see Kaminkow back in pinball. That's a great team on that pin. 2 different LEs and a premium but no pro.

Excited to see a new game but still resistant to a purchase till I'm for sure they have fixed their playfield issues.

#11 7 years ago

Lyman had code on BDK. Not his best work, but he was new.

Edit: I was joking. Yes, Lyman has been coding for a long time.

Does this complicate your next purchase even further?

It's a ballsy move. Everyone is worried aboot inserts falling out of the goddamn machines, so Stern zigs when we're thinking zag
and drops a super rare high dollar machine...wtf...Invitation only...good grief.

whaaa?

Ad looks like Stern is taking deposits directly? Huh?

Tune in tomorrow, same bat time, same bat channel.

With Stern likely revealing this at Expo, it's going to be a very entertaining slugfest between this and Alien for the spotlight.

In case anyone is wondering, this is what is going on at the wall of microwaves these days.

#17 7 years ago

I hope this super Le is just a one off thing and not a re occuring thing on upcomming games

#18 7 years ago
Quoted from TigerLaw:

I honestly think I'm going with an older game until Stern gets their shit together, or at least acknowledges the situation.

I don't want to de-rail the thread, so bring on the pictures!

Weeeeeeee!

Naw they'll probably use the newer Christopher Nolan artwork for Batman 66

EDIT: Man I wish there was a "Buffalo 66" version

Super Triple Jumbo LE coming soon

#22 7 years ago

Will the LCD have clips and sound from the TV series?

So who's sending in their pre-order money?

#24 7 years ago

"Dressed even more so than a normal LE machine...."

Those are ominous words right there.

#25 7 years ago
Quoted from o-din:

Just pre-ordered my Super LE from ebay! Paid-in-full. Can't wait!

#26 7 years ago

So what's the plan here? Super LE will be 1-2K more than a regular LE with LCD, so then after that the prices will just be $500 more for the LCD?

#27 7 years ago

No pro?

Not that I like the theme anyway but...

Wtf is going on?

The color lcd was never going to be part of a ~$5k game. That is why no competitors can produce games at that price either.

#30 7 years ago

how is this working for international customers?

Maybe so the first Stern LCD can cost what they want it to without having to raise prices on pros. Going all out-ish on this one to start things off right. Again, maybe.

#32 7 years ago

Pics coming soon... Hopefully!

#33 7 years ago

240 LE models and 30 "Super LE". Interesting quantities for sure.

Sounds like a bank robbery is being planned.

I would be very interested in this theme/machine if it weren't for the playfield issues and no resolution in sight for them. What's to say their playfield manufacturing process has been fixed? Good luck to those who pull the trigger. I look forward to seeing how this machine looks and plays, the biggest benefit is Lyman on the code. Other then that, i'll wait for reports on how the playfield holds up - or doesn't hold up - before even considering a purchase this time around.

No pro, bigger prices, LCD screen, deposits...sounds familiar.

#37 7 years ago

I'm glad I don't care about this machine at all to purchase it NIB. The add seems to indicate the price tag is going up.

I'm wondering who is on the list of super specials getting offered the SLE.

Quoted from ianwho:

Stern noticed what premiums people were paying for resold NIB GBLE's, so they are probably using this machine as a test with limited LE numbering and controlling the supply more to see if they can sell at higher prices, in less volume. This will be interesting to say the least.

Quoted from DCFAN:

It says TV series on the flyer so I assume TV series. I'm not sure but I think the movie rights and the TV rights are separate so we may not see any Shark repellent or bomb dances.

Adam West ?

It would be interesting to see the reaction if games that are playable at Expo start cracking like your playfield did. That would be embarrassing for Stern.

#43 7 years ago

I can't imagine this game won't be at expo... This expo is going to be great with Alien reveal and now this!

#44 7 years ago

Wow wondering if ghosting inserts are only on the super LE

#45 7 years ago

....still holding out for Kevin Conroy version.

#46 7 years ago
Quoted from Flato:

Yes.

However they don't just ghost, they SUPER Ghost!

Basically the inserts just fall out completely so you don't have to worry about it!

It's an oxymoron having a 'premium' as the cheapest game you can buy

They're saving the super ghosting inserts for the Superman pin. These are Bat Ghosting inserts...or Ghosting Bat Inserts...or something.

#50 7 years ago

I have delivered 9 GBLE, and none of them have ghosting issues. Same goes for GB pro. I know Stern is working hard at resolving the issues. Now I have had 1 customer have ghosting on smve.
