I did not realize it cost that much. The ebay ad does say that item is like heavy duty though...so maybe it is priced properly for its thickness. I want to remove the mylar from my PM. I am torn between deciding if I should replace it or leave it bare. Well maybe bare is not the right word. From what I have read (mostly Pinside) it appears many Capcom games are clearcoated under the mylar. I just have not read anything definitive that Pinball Magic is one of them. So after mylar removal I may discover mine is not and then be in the same position as you...looking for the best mylar vendor/source.
