Yep. A sump pump is easily tested, and easily replaced. Ryan's setup is a little bit harder as he has a sealed sump due to the radon system.
I replaced my sump pump a couple years ago since mine would occasionally trip the breaker when it went off and I was NOT going to risk that happening during a storm. The process is very easy but my radon system made it a bit more of a pain due to the airtight requirement and caulking required.
