Having an issue with a Barracora.

The upper left ball lock gate is misbehaving on me. Sometimes it randomly opens and remains open even if there is a ball locked in there. Or if it shouldn’t be open without a ball locked it opens.

Things I’ve tried…
New roms
Swapped mpu and driver boards, from original boards to aftermarket boards…problems followed.
I’m stumped…any ideas would be appreciated.

Any metal moving parts like the plunger, magnetized, and doing this ?

I'd go over the switch too. Especially if it's a leaf blade. Very clean, works smoothly, not dragging on anything. Nothing like flux fouling the fiber board spacers between the leaf blades where it fastens down.

Thanks LTG,

I can tell the coil is on when it shouldn’t be.
Which switch are you referring to?
The ball lock?

No idea other than any switch that would tell the game to open the gate.

So when the gate is qualified to open it should charge the coil and remain open the whole time till it locks a ball or till a ball is drained.

Spent a couple hours on it….

So when I plunge the ball. The ball gate opens about four five second after leaving shooter lane. Even with no other switches after shooter lane switch is deactivated.
No phantom switches are firing in test mode.

All diodes look good.
Everything else is playing perfect except the gate.

I had an intermittent problem with the gate on my Barracora. I repined the connector and it resolved.

Great pin BTW!

Thanks for the suggestion.
I will repin and see if there’s any change.

Did repinning solve it? I got the same problem on mine.
