It's that a Mirco playfield?

Yes and it's gorgeous. So far the only thing that hasn't lined up well is the saucer plates. I think the new ones might be slightly longer.
Waiting for new braid to come in so I can redo the GI
I have sound issues that have recently started. The sound is incorrect/jumbled whether the game is just turned on or starting a game. It seems like there was a thread about from a while back, but i wasn't able to find it. There's a couple youtube vids of the same issues and the comments don't really provide any answers. Any help would be appreciated!
This isn't my video/machine- but mine is doing the exact same thing
Don't know if every one noticed, but CPR pushed this title from the Boutique to PreOrder zone. Now's your chance for silkscreen!
Has anyone here ever had an issue with their game switching players mid ball? I have been having a phantom issue with my game doing this but have not been able to track down when exactly it happens.
Thoughts?
Quoted from SealClubber:I would start with the trough switches. Then follow their wires back to connectors and pins.
Thanks for the tip. I have discovered this about the left trough switch: if it is triggered during a ball in play the drop targets will reset and the game switches to the next person without kicking out another ball. Sounds a lot like my issue.
During switch test, the only switches showing are the trough switches. Nothing else is acting outnof the ordinary. Even checked switches in the same row and column but they all seem to be working as they should.
I was told this issue still arises even with different boards swapped from different sys 7 machine. So for now im ruling out the header pins. Guess next I'll get out my meter and check the diodes on the trough switches...
In switch test with no balls installed thump your fist onto the playfield and see if any register. They may just be very_ close and vibrations sets them off.
Quoted from KJS:Still chasing a nice set of pop caps if anyone can help. I have repros on and they look bad.
I did the transparent yellows with retro decals and it looks good I think

The hunt continues, tonight I decided to play while video recording to catch the problem in action. I finally caught the issue. If I start a 2 ball multiball from the lower lock, when only one ball drains it thinks the players turn is over and counts down bonus and changes to the next player.
Then, when trying to replicate this issue. I found that sometimes when I lock a ball in the lower lock and it kicks out another ball... for some reason the locked ball wont release. But after I drain then the locked ball releases and continues the same players turn just like a locked ballsave.
Also, possibly related... I dont think the gate for the upper lock is working properly. I feel like its often down when its supposed to be up.
Video of my problem in action here:
What do you guys think? Thanks for any help and input. This one is a head scratcher.
I don’t have a barracora, but that reminds me of normal multiplayer gameplAy on my solar fire. Sf will hold locked balls ( and pretend they are not there) for subsequent players. Then when it comes back to the correct player will re lite the lock. It will only eject the locked ball if it runs out of balls. Then it will remember it as a virtual lock.
Replaced all the trough switch diodes with no change.
Can someone snap me a photo of the trough switch wiring? Im working off of an operators handbook from IPDB with no wiring schematics and see a couple odd details.
Second photo is a broken 22MFD cap on the right sling that I found.
Thanks!

Update: Tonight I cleaned up the shooter lane rollover switch. It wasnt that dirty but I cleaned it anyway. Switch test showed it is registering every time with a ball in the lane.
While I had the playfield up I was casually looking around and noticed that the brown/black wire had broken off of the BARR drop target bank release coil. Soldered it back onto the coil lug and started testing again.
No idea how, but the gate performance was flawless tonight. Gate was always up 5 seconds or so after the ball leaves the shooter lane. The locks worked flawlessly and so did the player to player scoring when draining balls.
Im going to do some more extensive testing and keep a close eye on the gate positioning. But for 1.5 solid hours tonight this issue seemed to be resolved.
Will update in a few weeks to see if the problem returns. At least now I know, if the gate is down (and I didnt just release the ball) then the game is gonna act wierd.
Quoted from Cheddar:Was quiet over the holidays but now that I'm not commuting I have a bunch more time. New playfield, plastics, posts, pops, cliffy frames[quoted image][quoted image]

Did you have to drill a new holes for the lane guides?

Not yet, is there an issue with them?

My understanding is the right one was off at least with the early playfields.
Does anybody have a rubber ring chart? The Williams documentation is not very helpful. Any help is appreciated! Thank you.

Titan usually has a pretty accurate count on size and quantity. But no chart
Quoted from BlueBlood:I ended up doing things myself, came up with my own, here it is if it helps anyone else out. I had an assortment bag of Titan rubbers, that is what I have used here. Don't forget flipper rubbers.[quoted image]
Nice job! I bet the clear rubbers do a great job of lighting up the playfield better. Do you go with LEDs or keep incandescent? Sometimes it's hard to choose with these older titles.
Quoted from Whysnow:did you need to redrill lane guides?
No it matched with my old one. However a lot of others did not match

Thank you. Of course LEDs! Comet pinball order sitting, waiting for me to finish.
Anyone here have an issue with the ball hanging up if it comes out of the left orbit too slowly? Just catching between the wire guide and the post there?
Quoted from KJS:Still chasing a nice set of pop caps if anyone can help. I have repros on and they look bad.
Can you post pics of the repro caps you bought? I found some and like them.. I also have a set of clear yellow caps with metal mod centers I may sell. I botched the outer ring application on one of them so I’m just going with the inner decal applied. I think I’m going to stay closer to original on mine. I also have one cap available to sell if someone needs one original style cap. My Barracora showed up with two cracked original caps. If anyone is interested in purchase they can pm me.

I am getting a project reimport soon, i have the CPR combo in order. I am wondering if a replacement power board would make sense or if this would be salvable with a rebuild kit?
IMG_20200521_191618 (resized).jpg
What should i look at changing/upgrading/bullet proofing? Does the big CAP at the bottom of the backbox need to be changed?
I assume the transformer connector would need to be repined to convert from 220-240V back to 120V, anyone has done that on a SYS7?

I purchased 3 new Kohout boards for my Barracora and just installed them. There is a difference in the play from the original and I need someone with a operations manual to help me set mine up to how I originally had it running. Anyone have a owners manual handy? Thanks.

Hi Guys. I am a recent member to the club. I noticed the pop bumpers on my game have capacitors added. However, someone has cut one of the legs. I know why they are added to the classic Sterns/Ballys to make the switches more sensitive. Was this a factory thing for Williams of this generation?
Thanks
Mike
Firepower has caps on the pops so i assume that barracora did too from the factory. http://www.firepowerpinball.com/downloads/SolenoidWiring.pdf
I am missing one of my kicker switch, the one under the PF that close when the kicker arm goes into the coil. That SW is pretty custom, super short blades with fish paper and a big stack, i do not really have any that would work well. Anyone knows where i can buy a repro? Or if anyone has a spare?
