2 weeks ago I attended the NW Pinball & Arcade Show in Tacoma, WA. I had heard about the Seattle Pinball Museum and Shorties, but since both were in Seattle and the show in Tacoma, I didn't plan any extra days in my visit to 'travel around'. Turns out there are quite a few more barcades, beercades and other pinball locations I could (and probably should) have visited. To avoid such a mistake for future trips: which barcades / beercades do you recommend?

    Ground kontrol - Portland Oregon
    Blairalley - Eugene Oregon
    Coin Jam - Salem Oregon
    Dorky's - Tacoma Washington

Many others plus tons of private collectors with diverse collections that will open their doors to you. Myself included.

We even have an outdoor campsite tournament in the mountains every year, Dory Hill.

Someone mentioned Los Angeles. Go to Pins and Needles and meet the coolest lady in all of pinball, my friend Molly Atkinson.

Sorry if I went off topic a bit but the pinball community in Colorado is alive and vibrant.

You're more likely to find her at 82 these days, she told me she's there most nights.

I'd add Emporium in Chicago this this list.

Thanks That may indeed take a couple of weeks of touring

I guess Logan in Chicago and Modern Pinball in New York should be on my list as well. Any others recommendations?

    Chicago Emporium
Stop in and See over 60 classic arcade games and around a dozen pinball machines.
They have a very nice inventory of games (I know I sold them most of the inventory over the last 2 years)
I believe they have about 29 bears on tap and all the games ar eon token play.
They Currently are open on Milwaukee Ave in Wicker Park, and will be opening a second location in Logan Square which is just north on Milwaukee a few mintues drive.
Dan and Doug are the two brothers that own it.

The Pyramid Scheme in Grand Rapids, MI

A hip atmosphere, filled with around 50 machines. All your 90s-2000s classics with a few new Stern games. If you walk across the street, there is Stella's Lounge. Another Barcade but filled with classic arcade machines spread out the building.
