Hey all!

My Death Star door was going up and down continuously and I found that the lever has broken off the Bar Motor Down switch causing the switch to not trigger.

I'd like to know if anyone knows of the right switch for this?

I found this one: https://www.marcospecialties.com/pinball-parts/5647-10529-00

But I would like to not waste time and get the right one the first time.

Also, is there any harm in continuing to play the game and just let the motor run until I get the switch?
Wasn't sure if it can get too hot or if has any experience with it.

EDIT: Because the UP switch works, it doesn’t cycle continuously during gameplay, only during attract mode. Also any time it should be down, it cycles because there is no down switch to tell it that it’s down.

EDIT2: It was the wrong switch. Correct switch is here: https://www.marcospecialties.com/pinball-parts/180-5052-00

Thanks!!

No replies...

I got impatient and grabbed a couple of the switches.

Will update the thread when I figure out if it works or not.

Without looking up the part number, I'd say that's it. There are pictures in the Data East Star Wars Club forum. That's also a great place to post questions like this in order to get a quicker response.

Welp I'm a noob thats for sure!

The correct switch is listed in the manual but I chose not to look there for some reason (shrug)

Correct switch is here: https://www.marcospecialties.com/pinball-parts/180-5052-00

Shown on page 34 of the manual and I circled it in red

I'll get better at this I swear

Thanks for the reply.

I was typing a reply also when I saw yours.
