The Rocky and Qbert sound like out of hobby buyers specifically looking for those themes or assuming those themes are somehow more collectible.
Is there more to go?

Quoted from Isochronic_Frost:Wow 180 more lots, amazing. At this pace? See you all at 5am
What’s the rush. I’d be calling it off. Buyers will wait.
Clearly Week made the right move liquidating this now. Apart from bettering the hobby and selflessly keeping it as a museum, why the f*ck wouldn’t he? Don’t know how the charity thing works over there…did he still own all the assets, not the charity?
Lol to all you guys thinking your games are now worth this. Unless you can magically generate this hype for your Pinside listing.
We had a similar thing in Australia last year - LLOYDS auctions which traditionally runs collectible car auctions, got on to Pinball. For the first few auctions they got a heap of National media coverage, and prices were ridiculous- exactly like this auction.
The local collectors were laughing, but also thinking their games were now worth these prices. Of course it didn’t affect the market much at all - just a blip. Prices are still ridiculous down here, but nothing like this.
Quoted from Karnov:He has other non-profits in the works. One involves 3rd world counties. A bunch of this money is going to that.
Good on him then.
Quoted from CryHavoc:No on this thread actually thinks their pins are worth these prices. It's joking around, dude.
Quoted from rvdv:Is this the new norm ??
Ummm.
Quoted from Heretic_9:Well that's a surprise: thought the Fathom would go for a lot more.
That did it go for? I feel like Fathom has collector cred that might not translate to first time buyers.
Edit: jay beat me to it.
If it’s anything like the Australian auctions, a large % of these games won’t be paid. There’s no deposit on hammer and no obligation to pay.
Quoted from CrazyLevi:Guys I’ll sell you [whatever game just sold for a crazy price at banning auction] for the low price of [ten percent less than crazy auction price]!
Any takers?!?!?
