Only 14K for Back to the Future? Makes my GNR LE purchase seem.... conservative

Quoted from pinball2020:No idea. I am watching things unfold like you and just suggesting things. I think there is imagined cachet in "from a pinball museum"!
Imagined is the key word, the best post i have seen lately is the meme that went along the lines of "Pay full retail, no thank you. Please charge me the rube price!"
Quoted from Rarehero:Why do people keep saying this? These are all
John Weeks’ purchases.
If someone donated games, they would have gone and taken them back & not let someone else profit from sales.
I think you are confusing giving something away with somehow still owning it.
Lending machines, sure.
But if I give a game to someone "because they are in need" and turn around and sell it for max profit... its not my game. I can cherish my hurt feelings but what are you gonna do?
Quoted from Rarehero:Not sure what you’re talking about, but John had been buying up/hoarding games for years before opening the museum. I can’t imagine anything was donated. He would have just bought it.
Oh, sorry. All this stupidity must be contagious. I somehow misread your post as some sort of support that donated games were being sold...
Quoted from SadSack:As a recognized pinball repair man, I am salivating at this sale. I'm only hoping the games aren't going out of country. I have lots of rich neighbors who have recently moved to Montana/Wyoming/Idaho as well as a slew of richies that have had vaca places out here for some time. I hope to service at least a few of these. I will bill accordingly....
Yeah, that is what I was thinking. This may not kick off a golden age for pinball, but will likely kick off a golden age for pinball repair folks across the US
