Quoted from EStroh:Bubbling mylar on the inserts on that one. It affected game play.
Mine had mylar removed so a lot of art obliterated, plays good though my brother has it now so still a possibility

City Slicker is the rarest of the 6803s. Less than 300 made I think.
Not many more Beat The Clocks or Black Belts either.

Beat the Clock was 500 made. But not many players ever warmed to timed games, so they did not do too well.

I've pulled mylar off of a WW, F14, HS, Dr Dude and 2 Xenons. The two Xenons were a mess to remove and required a new hard top. The others turned out fine. You never know...

Yes and it’s also common because it’s crap.
Rare For A Reason. (RFAR) as an owner I can tell you, it’s crap.
Quoted from Isochronic_Frost:I’ve seen quite a few in my area. Was it really that rare?
We have between 3 and 5 in Florida, I believe.
Doesnt add up.
Also very low For Sale amounts in History here, around 30 ads over 10 years.
Bit of a shame to see the more rare titles now go out to who knows where.
Liked knowing all these pins were in one place - oh well.

Well also bought from FUN! and it was heavily touched up… my first machine and didn’t know any better, lesson learned, turns out wasn’t such a bad deal after all..ten years later at least
Quoted from SadSack:Fathom $16K bid ... Over or Under?
I would say that if you could see them in person the price would be adjusted accordingly. But after the last two days... who knows.
Quoted from Knxwledge:East coast bros are saved!!!! They're only going to the end of the row tonight
Sticking with ya'll to the end!!!
Auction is stopping for the night after the end of the row! Looks like most the Bally’s but before the Stern’s
Quoted from Mad_Dog_Coin_Op:What auction number are they stopping on tonight? I'm getting tired of being drastically outbid.
They said hanging it up for the night with Flash Gordon. Resuming tom'w. morning at 11 a.m. PST.
Quoted from MtnFrost:well that sucks. I was hoping to snag something in the wee hours while the east slept. ah well
weren't we all
Quoted from MtnFrost:well that sucks. I was hoping to snag something in the wee hours while the east slept. ah well
im on the east coast and was hoping the same but they want max exposure and max $$

Naw we weirdos drive hundreds of miles… what’s a few hours?
Thanks, the ones I still wanted will be up early in tomorrows bidding. I'm not even going to log in. Late night, maybe. But not fresh and early.
Are people really surprised? I used to search the ads here on pinside for game specific parts or machines. By "used to", I mean like 5 months ago. Then I started searching all for sale ads and found some good stuff for sale.
Now it seems a lot of ads are either new machines or low mileage machines but what I'm specifically noticing is a lot more wanted ads. I think it's true that pinballs getting hotter,.... Again. That's encouraging since I watched so many companies close down in the 80's-90's, I never thought pinball would grow again.
As far as people acting shocked about these prices? I guess they've never been to Barrett Jackson? Sorry for the cargument but rich drunk dudes, chasing the latest fad is old hat.
Quoted from museumofpinball:Captains will be ending tonight’s auction on lot 426. He will resume tomorrow morning.
Welp, there goes any chance of a reasonable hammer price for Andromeda.
Quoted from alyssa:Joining the outbid club!

That’s good! That price was insane!

11am Pacific is fresh and early?
Quoted from CrisCrow:Maybe Bezos wants the ultimate arcade for his basement?
or open an arcade on the moon?
Quoted from Heretic_9:Well that's a surprise: thought the Fathom would go for a lot more.
A lot of terrible games with recognizable themes have sold for far more than fantastic games with unrecognizable ones.
Quoted from Heretic_9:Well that's a surprise: thought the Fathom would go for a lot more.
That did it go for? I feel like Fathom has collector cred that might not translate to first time buyers.
Edit: jay beat me to it.
Quoted from Dr-Willy:Cards aren’t kept on file. You have to call them and pay with them over the phone. It’s very possibly to just create a fake account and bid stuff up and disappear. Wouldn’t be hard at all. Not that I think that’s what happening.
I just think a ton of new people are cashing out of other hobbies and coming in with a shit ton of money. Look at the classic video game market with the grading stuff and sealed gamesand the huge shit show that has turned into. I think much of the same is going to happen to arcades and pinball.

you know people are paying money for video game highlights? Its not even exclusive rights to a highlight. can you imagine spending $1k on a jordan dunk that thousands might have downloaded on their phone for free?
