Insane
WHERE did games come from that I never saw in all the visits to MOP ? ?
I missed their very first, opening event (Arcade Expo #1), and the final 3-day event, but was at all of the others, for the full weekend each time.
The amount of time he takes to hit the gavel and announce sold tells you how much he wants that commission. If it is 18%, each $100 is $18 in his pocket. What a rip.

Please post here some of the best for non facebook people.

bronze at best
Also seems like some of the luster has faded on the early bids, now we're only 2x pricing before fees.

MOP has hundreds of games in storage. Mostly parts games, but some good ones they just lacked the room to put on the floor.

Almost everything in the auction I saw at MOP, but its very easy to walk past games because there was just way too many games there, it was just overwhelming.
$8800 for qbert...wow

Crazy time. Full-on crazy time. But hey... there is one upside: A lot of people are seeing value in pinball and perhaps games they've never seen before.
I've moved on to watching bare knuckle boxing, which is somehow less brutal than these hammer prices.

It with for $6300 pre-fees.
Quoted from D-Gottlieb:I just replaced all the drop targets in HH.
I always enjoyed playing BH & HH on my visits to MOP. But there was NEVER any line to play them that I ever noticed. And didn't that System 80 require a bunch of mods to render it fairly stable ? (On BH, in particular.)
I thought this auction wouldn't have shill bidders.....
...but there has to be...no one would spend this much on these games? What's the scam?
I can't decide if this is good or bad for the hobby...
Is this just a bunch of non-pinball people who heard about this on the NYT and decided it would be neat to have pinball game?
Quoted from killerrobots:I can't decide if this is good or bad for the hobby...
It's bad
I get that machines are worth whatever you are willing to pay for.... but geez.
I'm starting to wonder if this is a money laundering scheme, or just people with too much money and not enough sense.

It's REALLY bad.

Standard grounding mods, upkicker mod (for kicking the ball up to the main playfield), motor mod (for the backglass animation), and a lamp voltage conversion for some high voltage lamps to bring them down to standard #44/47.
It's not as bad as it sounds.

But it seems like a lot of these games you could buy for way less today on Pinside or craigslist? It is like a bunch of people who have no idea how to buy a game and they heard about this and decided to buy one?
