Here is a simple mod that can be adapted to various games in time.
I actually designed this and had it made at Shapeways over a month ago before knowing about batman and did it more for a small design challenge.
It is made up of 3 printed parts, each with a colour choice:
- panel mount - that fastens to what ever location you wish and can be mount normal way or upside down
- lit panel - allows variation to the back drop colour
- banner panel - which I will do a few different designs and each can slide into the main panel mount normal way or upside down
It has a mounting point at the back as well as a hole in the back for wiring to pass through for a Comet LED strip.
The lit panel snaps into place into the panel mount and once in is permanent (no glue) and then you install a 3 led matrix strip from Comet (amber one in this design with a yellow lit panel) and pass the plug through the hole in the back and then the banner panel slides into the groove of the panel mount. Lastly locate a bolt / screw anchor in your game and fasten down. All you have to do from there is connect the led strip to a feature light so it is always on or when a feature / mod is activated.
It is not much longer than a hotwheels car and about twice the height and fairly shallow in depth.
2 designs are done and will probably do a few others for Tron etc in the near future and the beauty is you can slide a different banner panel and straight away swappable into another game.
