Rule #1 for Bank a Ball. When something wonky happens with the lights or the scoring, inspect the reset bank in the back box to make sure it is seated all the way in.

I used to own a bank-a-ball for a number of years before another Pinsider talked me into parting with it a couple years ago. Great game with cool mechanical back box animation.

Periodically, something would go wonky with either the lights in the top rollovers or the 50/5 point scoring. Took me two or three troubleshooting attempts to realize the fault was usually with the carriage of that reset bank sliding out of position just a little. When that happened, the switches in the bank we're not getting correctly activated. I quickly learned to always check that first.

You might try roughing up the slotted metal tabs with a little sandpaper or you might have to use a pliers to tighten the wing nuts to keep it from recurring. I hope you can manage to find the pool balls to make it whole again.
