When replacing the bottom of a cabinet this is how I do it . I chisel away the 3 layers of plywood holding the bottom in. They are usually coming apart anyways so this is easy to do . I remove the old bottom and burn it . I clean up the edge of the plywood layer with a belt sander.

P1010536.JPGThen I fit up the new piece of masonite that I've already cut to size . I use square dowels 3/8 inch the replace the layers of plywood I removed and to hold the bottom piece in . I then glue both the new bottom piece and the square dowels in using clamps to hold everything in place .

Astonishing ! I wanted to see how it looked with an exclamation point . That's a really good word I'm just nor sure if it's as awesome as the word awesome . Maybe stick with awesome but do all caps an surround it with exclamation points like this !!!! AWESOME !!!!
Hmmm. I like that whysnow but then the thread tittle would be "bangerjay is LIONMAN! " which is absolutely true and would certainly mean greater than awesome . But I think it also changes the meaning of this thread with that tittle.
