Getaway: High Speed II, The
Williams, 1992I'm looking to replace the cabinet speaker in my High Speed II: Getaway as the seal is badly cracked. However, I can't find a replacement at any of the usual sources. The closest I could find was a Pin2000 speaker on Marco's website that was described as being a possible replacement. I'm looking for the 6", 4 ohm, 25 watt speaker that mounts in the bottom of the cabinet. Has anyone had any luck finding a replacement? Thanks in advance for any help!!
I would recommend the Pinball Pro or Flipper Fidelity speaker upgrade in this machine. Had the PbP one in mine. Big improvement in sound. The original just sounds weak and tinny compared to the upgrade.
If you want to keep it stock, there are tons of these for sale since many people upgrade and don't want to keep the originals. Often times they are just given away. Also, try Mike at Great American Pinball if nobody chimes in.
I just threw a few of these away yesterday while cleaning up my workshop.
Most any 6.5 inch woofer that is 4 ohms should work just fine.. I use these:
