If you have these issues and have new boards than it is most likely a bad connection or an intermittent open wire... Also I have seen 12v being drawn down by a bad connection on the solenoid driver from the power supply. This caused my flippers to lose power during the game as well as the coin lockout coil. It will also heat up the ROMs too.
