Hi. Very new to this. Never done any pb stuff before (computer geek really). Trying to revive a wcs94 machine for a friend and I am stumped. Already had to replace the service buttons in order to run tests etc and to reset the machine as the batteries were very dead. The problem is that it is not firing the solenoid in the trough. Having run the tests solenoid 1 fires ok then 2,3,4,5,6(trough) and 7 fail then the ramp diverter (8) works. As far as I know all these are on the same high power circuit running via fuse f105. Even though logic said it cannot be the fuse replaced it anyway. Still same result. Any clues?? It also repeatedly fires a solenoid for 10 plus times on startup - could this be related?

There are several easy things to check after you first check for a broken wire which is my favorite fix. Check for voltage at the 2 lugs. Ground the small wire on the coil to the side rail. Ground the transistor on the power driver board. Pinwiki.com is a great place to start. But pm me if you want to walk through it. Iā€™m heading on a trip so might be hit or miss so have patience. Good luck

Hi. You were spot on. Tried firing the solenoid by grounding the connector from the driver board and nothing happened so tried the voltage at the solenoid , again nothing. So then worked back under the playfield and sure enough a broken wire in the daisy chain via the other high power solenoids. A bit of solder and it now starts ok. Just need to check all the other Kickers etc are as should be. Thanks for the advice
