Just picked up machine the game seems to function fine, even takes a quarter to start game. Was wondering if it is common to have cut wires like this?

Coin door wiring for an optional credit unit. Search for an old thread of mine about it. Mr Bally does a good job explaining it. I could never figure out how to get mine working for route coin use.

Don't see where they broke off etc been cut I am sure, thought maybe someone did it in order to enable free play somehow as two wires only reach the
credit relay one wire only reaches the coin relay and the 4... I don't know.... near the 3-5 adjustment ball jones plug area

The coin door does have 2 coin slots with the third (center) having a blank in place so this could be for the xtra coin mech?

I ran into the same thing when I restored my Wizard. The wires you show in the pictures dont have anything to do with free play. My guess is that the jig the factory used had extra wires in it that weren't used for this game. I found my wires were neatly cut and just left there. I just put a tab of liquid electrical tape on the tips to insure they were insulated and tucked them away.
