Greetings,
I bought a flipper rebuild kit for my Wizard. I was about to send an E-mail saying he had the wrong part, for the right flipper, then as I looked at the picture I took, I realized the mech is totally different. Someone in the past, had traded out a different mech, so I'm wondering if anyone knows what mech it is, so I can get a rebuild kit for it, of if someone has a source for an original, maybe I'll convert it back.

EDIT: wrong gens, doh!

Looks like an older gottlieb. I'd try to track down a replacement, they play a lot different.

I'm not aware of any place you can buy the full assembly, but here's a diagram with all the parts: http://www.planetarypinball.com/reference/partsmanuals/BLY_Parts_1979/files/mobile/index.html#66

Many were included with your kit. The base plate is usually eh hardest part to find but it appears marco has them: http://www.marcospecialties.com/pinball-parts/A-613-41

Hopefully you can piece one together, or I'm sure someone has a spare playfield sitting around and can sell you an original at worst

The rebuild parts match the left flipper assembly, but not the right. Which side did you think was a Gottlieb?
I think the right side got switched out, since the left side has the long boards (forget the name of them).

Here is the rebuild kit.

You want the next generation Bally hardware. Wizard was the last game to use discrete mounted parts (like on your left flipper).

Hi Deal to Space invaders.

I'll bet the spinner really rips with that newer assembly.

Yes, going on what Zacaj showed me, I looked up the parts for Wizard. It seems on the left, I have the old style, and on the right, I have the new style.

I'll check on your link and see what I can get.

As for the strength, both flippers are pathetically weak. I was starting with a rebuild, and while waiting for the parts, I worked on the flipper switches, and the EOS switch, including gaps. No help. Correctly numbered coils are in the game, so I was moving onto the rebuild, when I saw this anomaly.

I'll check on your link now.

Wow, never seen that style on a bally before. Looks like I had it backwards! I doubt you're going to find the older style for sale new though... Since you've already got the kit it might be worth tracking down, or upgrade to teh newer style...

I sent an E-mail to Steve Young, asking what he might do to help me with parts. If I have to, I guess I'll rebuild the old one with the old kit, and if he can get
me the parts, rebuild the new one with the new!

EM's have been an interesting journey of learning, after doing nothing but solid state machines. These twists are a little over the top Lol!

As a follow-up, Pinball Resources suggested since I already had his rebuild kit, I simply convert my right flipper back,
to the old version, using a few additional parts. I told him that would be great, and here for your info, are the few
parts I need, that he has in stock, to add to the kit I already purchased, to get me back to original.

I would suggest converting the right flipper back to original - Assuming you bought our complete kit KT-BFLIP-02, it looks like you will need:

1 X P3691-19 Right Baseplate $6.00ea
1 X P6256 Stop Bracket $1.80ea
1 X P126-559 Switch Bracket $1.80ea
