Getting my pinball up and running - having a few intermittant issues.
The games play for a few times and then suddenly it will start to not kick a ball into play.
I have cleaned up the contactors sliding cardboard through them - (the machine had been laid up for 25 years)
I have checked the wires that trigger the switches as the balls drop through and their impact on the switches around the bally dropping into the play chute and these seem to avo out ok.
I am puzzled about one switch - I have taken 3 pictures of it from varying angles (first 3 pictures left to right) . It's situated immediately below the Outhole Solenoid on the underside of the playfield. I can't see what purpose it's meant to serve. Immediately to the right of the switch are 2 drill holes which could have been where the switch was initially screwed into the playfield.
If anyone has a Bally and can throw some light on this I'd be grateful.
Finally as a "getting to know my machine better" - there is a red button switch on the underside of the main playfield situated between the 2 main flippers - I can't see a reference to this in the manuals - this is the 4th picture along. If anyone knows what this does I'd be grateful.
Regards
Gary
