For those of you who own Vector, you've probably been very aggravated at trying to figure out where all the settings are (between service mode and dip switches). It feels like the manual was typed by multiple monkeys with extreme ADD given the wide scattering of information across multiple pages bouncing back and forth.

I created the cheat sheet below that documents all of the sequence of the service mode; as well as the dip switches on the MPU. Some details left off that can be referenced in the manual; but a high level overview, for all settings, in the order you come across them is presented below. No bouncing back and forth across pages to get a feeling for where settings need to be.

LMK if you spot any errors, and also have any idea what service mode settings 20, 21 and 22 actually do. I cannot find them documented anywhere in the manual--so far.

All ID numbers appear in the "Match/Ball in Play" window.

Tests (these do not show up as an ID number but are part of the self-test switch sequence):
(-4)	All Lamps
(-3)	Display test (digit cycle)
(-2)	Solenoid test (roate firing)
(-1)	Sound test (plays Game Over)
(0)	Switch test (shows lowest number closed; 0 = no stuck switches)

Bookkeeping: (Press MPU/A4 red switch S33 or Coin Chute #3 switch to clear each value)

I think the same monkeys did the Fireball Classic I just picked up.

Bookkeeping function 01, 02 & 03 are for the score thresholds.
01 - score level 1
02 - score level 2
03 - score level 3

I found HomeRom V4 right after I got the game and have been running that.

I was not aware there was a V5 (bug fix for sound) or a V10 (a few new features) available. Thanks for the link!

Edit: Ah crud, V10 is "beta" only, no link to download. Anyone know where it can be found?
Edit2: Double crud -- V10 is also larger than a 2732 so you need to build an adaptor and solder in a few connections to enable higher address line access. Oh well. I will for sure upgrade to V5. Thanks again
