I joined the club this week! A really nice AF found me. LOL. Purchased it from a super nice local couple who had it for many years. They took good care of it. It has wear on the mansion that needs to be fixed. I know a good restoration gentlemen who is going to restore the mansion for me. It had some battery corrosion that needed to be cleaned up. Mechanically it's in good shape. It does need a full teardown and shop. I have LEDs, Cliffys, a magnet driver, and new rubbers on order. Oddly, it's one of the builds with the gold cabinet and a blue backbox.

What's the one "must have" mod I need to obtain? ColorDMD? I thought about putting Pinstadium lights on the machine but I kind of like this one a little dark.

Quoted from dmacy:

ColorDMD for sure. If you like the Gold ROMS and the extra animations, they're nice if you don't mind the unbalanced scoring. Uncle Lester is one mod I think belongs.

I've never seen the gold ROMS. I'll have to check them out. Thanks!

Great suggestions and information! Thanks, everyone!

I've had a number of people tell me to download the gold code. Are the animations that different?

Quoted from knockerlover:

Not the swamp. There is a big metal box for the thing hand, the ball drops in. It then rolls to another metal thing VUK up into the swamp.
It’s getting hung up between those two pieces.
I’m familiar with the swamp accelerator and it isn’t that issue.

Mine was stopping in the subway and it's because the lower piece with setting on top of the upper piece. Thus, creating a ledge. I just flipped them around and it's worked perfectly ever since.

Quoted from knockerlover:

Here’s a photo taken from the thing box down inside it. It’s like it’s getting hung up on a weld. Maybe a piece of Mylar would help but wanted to see if there was a better fix.
It looks like there is something behind the ball, but there isn’t that’s a weird shadow from the flash.

I see. My issue was later down the line. Maybe have somebody 3D print and angle to diverter you can put in the corner.

Quoted from JWCpinball:

I ran across an Addams Family machine the other day that has been on location for over fifteen years. It has the gold cabinet stickers on the lower cabinet, and standard blue on the top box. Further, the legs, rails, and lockdown bar are stainless.
I read somewhere that this might have been late in the production cycle, and not a true gold edition. Any thoughts or comments on what it might be?
Thanks!

It's a late model run and they used up the extra cabinets. Somebody here posted all the information a few months back. Mine is the exact same way. Standard game with a gold cabinet.
