Looking for a TAF with a bad playfield. Have a new repro, just need the machine. Bad cab is ok too.

My TAF plays no sound in attract mode. All sound works during game play. After game over the tune continues to play for a couple minutes then then fades away. Is there a setting to change this?

Any opinions on which cabinet decals to use in a restore? I saw Planetary Pinball had them in stock and Phoenix arcade on EBay. Can anyone that's used them chime in. Thanks.

The set I got from planetary looks like the top one in your pic. The two holes are a little too close together. The clears line up fine. The issue was the metal bracket that holds the telephone plastic partially covers the hole for the spacer and didn’t leave enough room to insert the screw through the spacer tabs. Rather than enlarge the hole, I snipped off the tabs on the spacer. Line up fine after that.

I agree. Mine is an early game with a sticker covering the prototype plastic. I always use the original if possible when replacing plastics. They always look better if they are in decent condition.

Quoted from CLEllison:

Just joined the club. Other than magnet fuses.and Cliffys, is there any other bullet proofing a person should do ? I see this guy make mention of whacking a diode and no one responded. Any thoughts to that?[quoted image]

Anyone else cut out this diode as suggested?

Quoted from pinballinreno:

It's really dumb.
Just get the replacement, fused, magnet board and be done with it.

That doesn’t solve the problem of the tip36c blowing. It only shuts off the magnet.

The blue pad used on Monopoly fits nice if you double up the pad. Marco has it.
